PORKY PIG Dell comic #59

  This is Dell comic #59 from the Porky Pig series, originally released in July and August of 1958 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig playing tic tac toe on the ground, and losing, as three chickens walk away from him having deposited their eggs as "O"s in the tic tac toe diagonal.  This comic is in near mint condition, with minor wear on the cover being its only flaw.  All interior pages are present and in nice condition.

PORKY PIG Dell comic #61

  This is Dell comic #61 from the Porky Pig series, originally released in November and December of 1958 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig ensnared in yo-yo string as his nephew, Cicero, casually dances nearby, playing with three of his own yo-yos.  This item is in near mint condition, with creasing of the cover's corners being the item's only consequential flaws.  All of the interior pages are present and in nice condition.

PORKY PIG Dell comic #62

  This is Dell comic #62 from the Porky Pig series, originally released in January and February of 1959 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig trying to eat breakfast from his room aboard a cruise ship, as the ocean pours into his bowl through his opened porthole.  The comic is in near mint condition, with minor age-related wear being its only flaw.

  This is Dell comic #64 from the Porky Pig series, originally released in May and June of 1959 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig watering his flower garden . . . with a trumpet.  The comic is in EX+ condition, with spine wear and a discoloration stain on the front cover being its principal flaws.  All of the interior pages are in nice condition.

PORKY PIG March of Comics #99

  This is March of Comics #99, featuring Porky Pig.  The cover shows him slicing a loaf of Italian bread using the blades of a fan to cut the bread.  The comic is in NM+ condition, with a single dog-eared corner being its only flaw.  It was manufactured in 1953 by K.K. Publications.

PORKY PIG collector's glass

  This is a 6.25" thick (i.e., Brockway-style) collector's glass showing Porky Pig holding his right arm behind his back as he waves his black-and-white baseball cap in the air with his left hand.  The glass is in mint condition and it has white lettering.  It was released in 1973 as part of a large Looney Tunes set of Pepsi Collector's Series character glasses.

PORKY PIG collector's glass -- smaller size

  This is a 5.25" thick (i.e., Brockway-style) collector's glass showing Porky Pig standing with his right arm behind his back as he waves his black-and-white baseball cap with his left hand.  The glass has black lettering and a white Pepsi logo, and it is in mint condition.  This item was released as part of a tough-to-find six-item set that also included Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester, Tweety, and Road Runner.  It was sold in 1973.

PORKY PIG cup

  This is a 4" white plastic cup with a black image of Porky Pig on it, showing him with his left arm behind his back and his baseball cap in the air in his raised right hand. The cup is in near mint condition, with minor wear on the paint being its only flaw.  It was manufactured by Lexington sometime during the later 1960s or earlier 1970s.

PORKY PIG plastic mug

  This is a 3.75" plastic mug (handle on side not shown) featuring an image of Porky Pig's smiling face against a white backdrop with one red and one blue stripe.  The cup was distributed in the Great America amusement park gift shops along with a Yosemite Sam counterpart in 1976.  Porky is undamaged and in perfect condition other than some age-related yellowing along the interior and lower perimeter of the cup.

PORKY PIG footed mug

  This is a 5.5" white milk glass footed mug showing Porky Pig standing on a blue area playing with his red yo-yo.  His name appears beneath him in black, block lettering.  The mug is in mint condition.  It was manufactured in 1975 for distribution in the Great America amusement park gift shops.

PORKY PIG grape jelly jars / juice glasses

  This is a 4.25" jelly jar / juice glass showing Porky Pig wearing a green jacket and a white bowtie.  He holds his left arm behind his back and waves with his right hand.  The glass was manufactured in 1976 by Welch's, originally containing grape jelly.  It was released as part of a large promotional set of Looney Tunes character jelly jars / juice glasses, with each glass in the set having either Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Porky Pig, Sylvester, Tweety, or Yosemite Sam incised on the underside of the glass.  I have all variations in the set and all are in mint condition.

PORKY PIG gumball machine

  This is a 9" plastic gumball machine showing Porky Pig from the neck upward.  He wears a red baseball cap and has blue eyes and a red tongue.  The item has a yellow base and a blue dispenser lever.  Porky is in NM+ condition.  He was manufactured by Tarco sometime during the early 1970s.

PORKY PIG Whitman comic #104

  This is Whitman comic #104 from the Porky Pig series, originally released in 1981 (no month specified) at a cost of 60 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig flying a purple kite that now has a hole in it thanks to the careless action of his nephew, Cicero, who just shot a toy rocket through it.  The comic is in EX- condition, with all interior pages being present and in pretty nice condition.  The cover has numerous creases on it, along with a light stain on the spine and general light wear.

PORKY PIG Whitman comic #103

  This is Whitman comic #103 from its Porky Pig series, originally released in 1981 (no month indicated) at a cost of 50 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig sitting on a stool and playing the tuba while his nephew, Cicero, uses Porky's wind power to blow his toy fan for him.  The comic is in EX- condition, with all interior pages being present and generally in nice condition.  The cover has some light staining along the edge and spine, as well as some creasing and light wear.

PORKY PIG Better Little Book

  This is a 4.5x3.5" Better Little Book entitled Porky Pig and His Gang.  The hardback cover shows Porky Pig standing on a platform and delivering a singing telegram while behind him there are images of Bugs Bunny hopping a fence, Petunia Pig winking, Porky Pig fishing, and Bugs Bunny pensively resting on the grass.  All interior pages are present and in nice condition.  The cover has been taped to reinforce the spine, and one small piece of the back cover is missing.  Overall, this item is in VG condition.  It was manufactured in 1946 as issue #1404, and was published by Whitman.

  This is Dell comic #25 in the Porky Pig series, originally released in November and December of 1952 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig as a bricklayer who is being scolded by The Mouse of Monte Cristo for not doing his work quickly enough.  The comic is in EX- to EX condition, with all interior pages being present and in nice condition.  The spine has light wear and crinkling.  The cover has light wear, a few creases, and one small piece missing from the lower right-hand corner.

  This is Dell comic #26 in the Porky Pig series, originally released in January and February of 1953 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig and Sylvester in mid-air, running away from a whirling dervish that appears in the sky above the Egyptian pyramids.  The comic is in VG- condition, with all interior pages being present.  Many have darkened over the years and a few have small dog-eared corners.  The cover and spine both have considerable wear.

  This is Dell comic #28 in the Porky Pig series, originally released in May and June of 1953 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig preparing to dive into a swimming pool while Petunia Pig watches him from the pool's edge.  Behind Porky, Cicero giggles, since he has tied a thread from Porky's bathing suit to the diving board post, which will cause the swimsuit to unravel as soon as Porky dives.  The comic is in EX+ condition, with all interior pages being present and in nice condition.  The cover has light wear and the spine is slightly rolled.

PORKY PIG Dell comic #29

  This is Dell comic #29 in the Porky Pig series, originally released in July and August of 1953 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig on a high tree branch trying to retrieve his baseball, which has landed in the nest of an angry red bird with green head and tail feathers.  On the ground, Bugs Bunny and Cicero stare at Porky.  The comic is in VG- condition, with all interior pages being present.  A few of them have small rusted spots on them, in the margin areas that do not affect the comic stories.  The cover has moderate wear, as does the spine.

  This is Dell comic #30 in the Porky Pig series, originally released in September and October of 1953 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig using a modified lawn mower, now redesigned to resemble a scooter, to have fun and mow the grass at the same time.  The comic is in EX- condition, with all interior pages being present and in nice condition.  The cover has light wear, as does the spine; and the inside of the cover has inexplicably darkened edges.

  This is Dell comic #31 in the Porky Pig series, originally released in November and December of 1953 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows shows Porky Pig standing amidst a torrent of green water watching his nephew, Cicero, who is dressed as Davy Crockett, paddle his bathtub "boat."  The comic is in EX condition, with all interior pages being present and in nice condition (one has a small dog-eared corner).  The spine has light wear and some loosening around the staples.  The cover has light wear and one large crease down the center.

  This is Dell comic #32 in the Porky Pig series, originally released in January and February of 1954 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig as a swami with a green turban, playing an orange horn that causes Petunia Pig's black pigtails to elevate as if they were snakes being charmed. The comic is in EX to EX+ condition, with all interior pages being present and in nice condition.  The spine has light wear, and the cover has light wear and some crinkling near the spine.

  This is Dell comic #33 in the Porky Pig series, originally released in March and April of 1954 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig as an angry truck driver peering out from behind barrels of maple syrup as Cicero, dressed as an Indian brave, has shot an arrow into one of the barrels, causing it to leak.  The comic is in EX condition, with all interior pages being present and generally in nice condition, with three of them having dog-eared corners.  The cover and spine have light wear.

  This is Dell comic #36 in the Porky Pig series, originally released in September and October of 1954 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig playing a clarinet in front of a green box-style stage while, behind him, Cicero prepares to use a pair of yellow cymbals to kill a bee that is buzzing over Porky's head.  The comic is in EX to EX+ condition, with all interior pages being present and in nice condition.  The cover has light wear, and the spine shows moderate wear and crinkling.

  This is Dell comic #38 in the Porky Pig series, originally released in January and February of 1955 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig skating on a frozen pond marked Thin Ice! with a wooden signpost, as he looks skyward wearing a red innertube to keep him afloat when/if he falls through the ice.  This comic is in EX to EX+ condition, with all interior pages being present and in nice condition.  The cover has light wear, and the spine has moderate wear and some crinkling on it.

  This is Dell comic #40 in the Porky Pig series, originally released in May and June of 1955 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig preparing to bat a baseball as he notices, with surprise and fear, that a woodpecker is pecking chunks out of his bat.  Behind him, Cicero plays a baseball catcher who is also watching the goings-on with the woodpecker.  This comic is in EX condition, with all interior pages being present and in nice condition.  The cover shows moderate wear, and the spine has light wear and some crinkling.

  This is Dell comic #41 in the Porky Pig series, originally released in July and August of 1955 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig sitting on a stack of books to elevate him enough that he can reach the top of his huge stack of pancakes, which he is beginning to cut with a fork and knife.  The comic is in VG- condition, with all interior pages being present.  About half of them have a cut on the outer edge.  The comic's cover and spine both have moderate wear, as well as some crinkling.  There is also a small amount of writing on the "P" of the cover's "Porky."

  This is Dell comic #54 from the Porky Pig series, originally released in September and October of 1957 at a cost of 15 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig walking his fish on a brown leash as Petunia Pig watches him in surprise as she walks her small dog.  The comic is in EX to EX+ condition, with all interior pages being present and in nice condition.  The cover has light wear and the spine has considerable wear, including a 1" separation along the bottom.

  This is Dell comic #55 from the Porky Pig series, originally released in November and December of 1957 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig dressed as a Mountie who is relaxing in a blue hammock that he has strung on two of a resting moose's antlers.  The comic is in Good condition, with all interior pages being present.  All are generally in nice condition, although there is a light stain in the bottom margin.  The cover has light wear, one light water stain by the moose's snout, and a large piece missing out of the bottom corner.

  This is Dell comic #60 from the Porky Pig series, originally released in September and October of 1958 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig as a mechanic who is using a yellow oilcan to lubricate his nephew, Cicero's, rollerskates as he (Cicero) sits atop a green rack.  This comic is in G- condition, with all interior pages being present.  Three of them have small nicks on the opening edge.  The spine has moderate wear and crinkling, and the cover has light wear and three pieces missing from it.

  This is Dell comic #69 from the Porky Pig series, originally released in March and April of 1960 at a cost of 10 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig licking part of his double-scoop ice cream cone while his nephew, Cicero, does the same thing from the other side, having just come up out of nowhere on his green pogo stick.  This comic is in EX to EX+ condition, with all interior pages being present and in nice condition.  The cover has light wear and its most consequential flaw is the name Susan having been written in pen on the grass where Porky stands.

  This is Gold Key comic #2 from the Porky Pig series, dated 1949 (but probably released sometime during the mid-1960s), and sold at a cost of 12 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig in the middle of the night, holding a candle, and coming out to see what is going on as a ghost walks off with a platter filled with ham, bread, milk, butter, and cheese.  The comic is in VG condition, with all interior pages being present.  About half of them have a small cut in the bottom margin.  The cover and spine both have light wear and some crinkling.

  This is Gold Key comic #6 from the Porky Pig series, originally released in June of 1966 at a cost of 12 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig as a baseball player preparing to take a swing as he looks back in fear at a woodpecker that is pecking the top of his bat.  Behind him, Cicero watches the goings-on as the catcher.  This comic is in EX to EX+ condition, with all interior pages being present and in nice condition. The cover has light wear and some small chips near the opening edge, and the spine has light wear and some creasing.

PORKY PIG Gold Key comic #8

  This is Gold Key comic #8 from the Porky Pig series, originally released in September of 1966 at a cost of 12 cents.  The cover shows an angry red-and-green bird staring down Porky Pig, who has climbed a tree up to the bird's nest, trying to retrieve his baseball.  On the ground, Bugs Bunny and Cicero watch the goings-on.  This comic is in VG+ to EX- condition, with all interior pages being present and in nice condition.  The cover has light-to-moderate wear.  The spine has moderate wear and it has become rolled, leaving the comic generally misshapen as a result.

PORKY PIG Gold Key comic #11

  This is Gold Key comic #11 from the Porky Pig series, originally released in March of 1967 at a cost of 12 cents.  The cover shows Porky Pig playing the clarinet in front of a green box-style stage.  Cicero stands on the stage, preparing to use his yellow cymbals to kill a bumble bee that is near Porky's head.  The comic is in EX condition, with all interior pages being present and in nice condition. The spine has light-to-moderate wear and some crinkling, and the cover has light wear and a few significant crease marks on it.
