FRED FLINTSTONE (Flintstones / Hanna Barbera) squeak toy

  This tough-to-find item is a 4.75" rubber squeak toy of Fred Flintstone, who was probably manufactured during the 1960s or 1970s for distribution on the Mexican and/or European markets.  He has no copyright information on him, although he probably was made by Elizabeth.  (We say this because we have one of his counterpart items, Huckleberry Hound, in its original packaging, which indicates Elizabeth as the manufacturer.)  Fred gives off a gentle whistling sound when squeezed, rather than a more "traditional" squeaking sound.  he is shown with his arms bent at the waist and has pink toenails (just adorable!), a blue necktie, and an orange caveshirt with black markings on it.  Overall, Fred is in Good to G+ condition, downgraded primarily for the paint wear that he has suffered over the years.  The top of the pointy part of his hair has a small hollowed-out area on it, which appears to be the result of a minor factory-related blow mold defect rather than any type of damage.  But out of fairness, we wanted buyers to know that it was there.

COST = $50           BOXED WEIGHT: <2 POUNDS           ITEM NUMBER = 1101094

FRED FLINTSTONE (Flintstones / Hanna Barbera) camera

f0600037.jpg (43327 bytes)  This is a pretty nifty find!  It is the Fred Flintstone camera, measuring 3" tall and 3.5" wide.  The camera is made of black plastic and bears a white image of a standing, smiling Fred Flintstone on the side of the camera where the film rewind knob is located.  The camera is in mint condition and looks as if it has never been used.   Best of all, it comes with its original box AND its original instruction sheet (not pictured).  The back of the box is like the front, as shown above.  The box's top and bottom panels feature the full Flintstones cartoon line-up, including Dino, Pebbles, Fred Flintstone, Wilma Flintstone, Hoppy Hoparoo, Barney Rubble, Betty Rubble, Bamm Bamm, and Baby Puss.  The box is complete and undamaged, although it has some old tape on it and a somewhat faded fifty cents grease pencil mark on one of the top/bottom panels.  The instruction sheet is complete and undamaged, just creased from being folded for all of these years.  Nothing on the camera, box, or instruction sheet--not even the copyright information--indicates who manufactured this item or the specific year it was made.  It is probably a mid-1960s item, though, judging from the graphics.
