dot-eating and ghost-eating mouth. The base is dark blue and has a paper sticker on
it that features an image of Pac Man and the four fleeing ghosts. This item was

PAC MAN large plush doll
This is a 17"
plush doll of Pac Man, who has a red, opened mouth and plastic ping-pong ball
eyes. There is a purple hanging loop on top of Pac Man's head, enabling
this large doll to be hung from a nail or peg. There is no copyright
information on this item, so we do not know who made it or when it was
manufactured, although in all likelihood, it is a 1980s piece. It is
undamaged and has minimal wear, leaving it in near mint condition.

PAC MAN mechanical bank
This is a 4.5"
plastic mechanical bank of Pac Man. The bank operates by placing a coin on
the orange disk that resides in front of Pac Man's mouth. When this disk
is pushed down, Pac Man's head opens; when it is released, the coin flips into
his mouth and his head closes again, as if he ate the coin. The mechanical
action works perfectly, although the technique of getting the bank to receive
the coin takes some practice to perfect. Pac Man was manufactured by Tomy
sometime during the earlier 1980s. He is in virtually perfect condition
and retains his original stopper.

This tripod-style composition musical shows Paddington
Bear walking along a grassy area, suitcase in hand. He wears his usual
blue raincoat and his trademark floppy yellow hat. When the knob
underneath the musical's base is wound, the musical plays its song (which,
unfortunately, neither of us recognizes--sorry about that!). The music
plays just fine. This musical was manufactured in 1980 by Gorham. It
stands 6.25" tall and is in nearly perfect condition. Its only flaw
is the absence of the original blue-and-silver manufacturer's foil sticker on
the underside of the base, where a small superficial area has been torn due to
the careless removal of the sticker there. The musical itself is flawless.

PATTY (Peanuts) pinback button
This is a VERY
rare, vintage-era pinback button of the now-defunct Peanuts character,
Patty. Since the character was discontinued from the comic strip fairly
early on, in all likelihood, this is a 1950s item. The button itself is
1" in diameter and was part of a much larger Peanuts character set. We
currently have Shermy, Violet, and Linus in stock as well. The Patty
button is a yellowish-cream color with a black image of Patty's face, smiling,
and with a bow on the right side of her hair. The copyright information is
provided along the lower rim of the button. It does not indicate who made
this item, though. This item is in nearly perfect condition, with only
tiny, minor signs of discoloration appearing underneath the plastic overglaze.

PEANUTS bulletin board
This is an
18x23" cork bulletin board featuring the Peanuts Gang playing on musical
staffs and notes. Lucy is shown bounced on an eighth-note; Charlie Brown's

bouncing above on the right; and in the lower right-hand corner, Schroeder is
shown bent over his red baby grand piano. This item probably dates to the
1970s or 1980s and there is no indication of who made it anywhere on it.
It has no paint loss and appears to have been used, but only a few times
before. It has some wear along the right side and a small piece missing
out of the upper right-hand corner. (One suggestion: If this item
were framed, the corner could be made wholly inconspicuous and the bulletin
board could be displayed or used without noticing the damage there.)
Overall, this item is in VG condition, downgraded primarily for the right side
and corner problems just mentioned.

characters. The ornament is in mint condition and it comes with its
original red cardboard dog house-shaped box. The box has a few side tears
and some edge wear, leaving it in VG condition. This ornament was
manufactured by Hallmark sometime during the 1970s. It shows Charlie Brown

PEANUTS cube musical
This very rare find
is a 3.75" wooden cube musical featuring five images of the Peanut
characters. The top shows Snoopy kissing Lucy. The sides show
Peppermint Patty about to hit a baseball while Snoopy watches, Charlie Brown
patting Snoopy's head, Snoopy happily dancing atop Schroeder's piano, and
Woodstock doing a somersault in the air while Snoopy watches. This item
was manufactured by Schmid sometime in 1972. It is in NM- to NM condition,
with no damage and only minor wear on some of the paper appliqués on the
musical's sides. When the knob underneath the musical is wound up, the
musical plays I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing. The music works
beautifully on this tough-to-find item.

Snoopy image and a different letter from PEANUTS! This item was
manufactured by Butterfly Originals sometime during the earlier 1980s. It

This is a 9" cardboard
kaleidoscope with metal ends, featuring several of the Peanuts characters.
One image shows Sally releasing a red balloon into the air as Snoopy and
Woodstock float under a rainbow, Lucy skips rope, and Marcy looks up at Snoopy
and Woodstock. The other image shows Charlie Brown trying to get his kite
in the air as Linus looks through his own kaleidoscope and Peppermint Patty
holds out a yellow bag of some kind. This item was manufactured by
Hallmark during the early 1970s. It works fine and is free of
damage. The paper litho is in very nice condition, with minor surface wear
and a few scratches. The metal has a small amount of rust, but is far less
rusted than most of these items that we have seen. Overall, this
kaleidoscope is in EX+ condition.

PEANUTS party puzzlers
This is a set of
four Peanuts character party puzzlers, known to most people as dexterity
puzzles. The right-hand image above shows a blow-up of one of the
puzzlers; the left-hand image shows the item as it appears. Each puzzler
has a rollercoaster theme to it, with Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Woodstock,
Peppermint Patty, Linus, and Lucy all riding in separate rollercoaster cars
along a windy, hilly yellow track. There is a start area and a finish
area, and the object of these games/puzzlers is to get the small metal ball
inside of the puzzler to follow the track from the starting line to the finish
line. These items are in mint condition and have never been removed from
their perforated mounting card. They were manufactured by Hallmark in
1981. (We know the exact year is accurate because we have some others from
the same series but featuring other cartoon characters . . . and those bear the
1981 copyright marking on them.)
