HOWDY DOODY squeak toy, in airplane
This
cutie is one of the most highly-collectible of all of the squeak toys ever produced
featuring Howdy Doody or any of his friends. It is the Stahlwood rubber squeak toy
with Howdy Doody in the pilot's seat of a happy, smiling airplane. This item is
4.5" tall, 5.25" from wingtip to wingtip, and 6.25" from nose to
tail. The rubber is nice and soft, completely free of damage, and shows no signs of
age deterioration. The plane's light blue wing and tail accents are in nearly
perfect condition, as are Howdy Doody's dark blue eyes, neckerchief, and the plane's dark
blue eyes and eyebrows. Only the red paint on this item shows wear, both on Howdy
Doody's hair and on the plane's nose. When squeezed, this item just releases air for
some unknown reason, rather than a squeaking sound. This is surprising, considering
that the squeaker is present on the underside of the plane and appears to be undamaged.
Overall, this item is in EX condition.

brown cowboy boots. This item appears to have been part of a home crafts
kit, in which a child would have used a mold to form the chalk / plaster figure,
and then used some enclosed paints to paint the figure in the color schema of
his/her choosing. This item has no damage anywhere on it, but it does have
a few small areas of paint loss. Overall, the figure is in EX condition,
and it is a licensed product.

perfect condition. He comes with his original box, which is complete but only in

his body. He stands atop an elongated octagon-shaped black plastic block,
and that is where the coin slot is located. The coin removal area
underneath the bank has never been used, so it has no damage to it. Howdy
Doody is covered with flocking, which is mostly intact but which does have some
wear in it. He wears a pink shirt with a red checked pattern on it, a blue
neckerchief, a brown belt, blue pants, and brown cowboy boots. Overall,
Howdy is in EX to EX+ condition. He was manufactured in 1976 by Straco
(that is, the F.J. Strauss Company) along with Clarabelle and Mr. Bluster
counterparts.
