This is a 12" (when opened, as shown in the photo) jack-in-the-box featuring Curious George.  He himself is made of a stuffed cloth material with a green shirt.  His box is metallic and it bears fun, colorful images of Curious George swinging on a vine eating a banana (front), sitting in a tree and holding a balloon in his right foot (right side), swinging in the air from a balloon bouquet (back), and riding a dented blue bicycle (left side).  When the box is closed and the red crank handle is turned, it plays its song just fine and George pops up right on cue.  We do not recognize the song that it plays.  The sides of the box have some dents and there is some scuffing along the lower rim (where the toy rests on a tabletop), but the litho on the sides is in very nice condition.  The jack-in-the-box works just fine and, overall, is in EX condition (downgraded solely due to the dents and scuffing mentioned above).  This item was manufactured in 1995 by Schylling.

CURIOUS GEORGE balancing unicycle toy

If you're looking for a fun and "different" kind of toy, this 8" plastic Curious George item might very well qualify!  It shows him wearing a red shirt and blue overalls as he balances himself atop a white unicycle with a yellow wheel.  The item was named Curious George: The Balancing Monkey when it was manufactured by Schylling Associates in 1995.  The toy is in mint, seemingly unused condition, and it comes with its original box and its original instructions.  The box has some edge wear, but is generally in nice condition and it has very colorful, attractive graphics on it.  The idea for enjoying the toy is to stretch the tightrope between two poles or objects and the place Curious George onto it so that he can unicycle ride his way from end to end while balancing himself along the way.
