LINUS THE LIONHEARTED (???) large vinyl bank

Whether this is, indeed, a bank of the cartoon character, Linus the Lionhearted, as the person who sold it to us originally told us, or whether it is simply a bank of a lion, we are uncertain.  A decent case could be made either way.  In any event, this bank was manufactured in 1971 by Play Pal Plastics.  It is 12.5" tall and made of hard vinyl.  The lion is shown wearing a gold crown with a red top stone.  He has light green eyes and is shown sitting and panting/smiling.  There is a single spot of paint loss on the red top stone portion of the crown; otherwise, this item has no paint loss anywhere on it.  The original stopper is present, too, but has retreated inside of the bank when its previous owner tried quite carelessly to remove it.  This resulted not only in the stopper being pushed inside of the bank but also in some plastic loss on the INNER portion of the area where the stopper is held in place.  This is completely unnoticeable when the item is displayed and would be unnoticeable if the stopper were fished out of the bank's inside and put back into place.
