WOODSTOCK & SNOOPY (Peanuts) bell ornament

  This is a 2.5" ceramic bell-shaped Christmas ornament showing Woodstock and Snoopy sitting on top of the red roof of Snoopy's dog house.  Woodstock is typing feverishly on a tiny green typewriter as snoopy looks on.  The red, block-lettering caption on back of the bell says "Dear Santa Claus" is rather stuffy . . . How about "Dear Fatty"?  This item was manufactured during the 1970s by Determined as part of a larger collection of Peanuts character bell ornaments.  It is in mint condition and still retains its original clapper and its original gold lame hanging cord.

WOODSTOCK & SNOOPY (Peanuts) wall plaque -- always a winner

  This is a 4.5" tall by 3.25" wide wooden wall plaque showing Snoopy holding a yellow trophy cup with Woodstock inside of it.  Snoopy wears a #1 blue ribbon and stands atop a red pedestal.  The black caption above them says You're always a winner when you do your very best!  This item was manufactured by Hallmark sometime during the 1970s or early 1980s.  About one-third of the original Hallmark sticker is present on the back of the plaque.  This item is undamaged but does have some minor surface wear on the front decal, leaving it in NM- to NM condition.

WOODSTOCK (Peanuts) soap and soap dish

  During the early and mid-1970s (1973 in this specific instance), Avon manufactured a number of different Peanuts character bath-related items.  This is one of them, featuring Woodstock perched atop a red dog food dish that doubles as a soap dish.  He comes with both of his original unused white dog bone-shaped bars of soap, their original Styrofoam protective insert, and his original box.  All of the component pieces are in virtually perfect, unused condition, and the box shows minor wear along the edges from being moved about over the years.

WOODSTOCK & SNOOPY (Peanuts) offset planter

  This rare item is a 1.75" tall by 5.25" long ceramic planter, which could also be used as a candy dish or a nut dish or a trinket box if someone wanted.  It is shaped somewhat like a football, but has a midway offset design to it, as the photograph shows.  The planter is white and has red block letting saying I'm not perfect, but I'm pretty perfect!  The planter shows Woodstock offering a red flower to Snoopy, who stands nearby him wearing a red medallion/ribbon saying Great on it.  This item was manufactured during the 1970s by Determined and it is in mint condition.

WOODSTOCK & SNOOPY (Peanuts) trophy -- best secretary

  This is a 5" plastic trophy showing Snoopy sitting on a red base with his feet in front of him while Woodstock toils away on a green typewriter.  The black, block lettering on the metallic face plate on the front of the trophy's black rectangular base says World's Best Secretary.  This item is in NM- condition, with a few small specks of paint loss on Snoopy's face and some minor scratching on the metallic face plate being the item's main flaws.  This trophy was manufactured by Aviva during the 1970s.  The original gold foil copyright sticker is present on the back of the trophy's base, as is the red felt protective undercovering on the underside of the base.

  This is a 6.25" wooden wall plaque showing Woodstock and Snoopy sitting on a yellow blanket, as if having a picnic in their back yard on a bright, sunny day.  The caption above them says Keep Smiling! while the one on the blanket continues the thought with It makes people wonder what you've been up to!  This item was manufactured by Hallmark sometime during the 1970s.  The original gold foil manufacturer's sticker is present on the back of the plaque and the original metallic hanging hook is present on top.  This item is in near mint condition, with no damage but some minor wear on the litho and wood near the top of the plaque.

WOODSTOCK & SNOOPY (Peanuts) pen holder -- denim background

  This is a wooden or pressed cardboard pen holder of Woodstock and Snoopy, measuring 4" deep by 7" long.  It is covered with a shelf lining paper type of surface that has a denim appearance.  Woodstock is shown happily bicycling away from Snoopy, who stands nearby watching him.  The plastic pen holder itself is intact and in great shape, and it pivots 180 degrees.  In all likelihood, this is a 1970s item; the copyright information does not indicate who the manufacturer was.  This item is in EX+ to NM- condition, with no damage anywhere on it and only minor surface wear.

  This is a 4.25" tall wooden wall plaque showing happily-dancing Woodstock and Snoopy beside one another with their vaudeville canes and straw hats in hand.  The black caption above and below them says Every dog has his day . . . mine's Friday!  This item was manufactured by Hallmark sometime during the 1970s.  It is undamaged and, overall, in near mint condition.  There are two small faded spots on the lower portion of the faceplate (visible in the photo accompanying this description), which are the item's only flaws.  The original metallic hanging post is present on top as is the Hallmark sticker on back.

WOODSTOCK & SNOOPY (Peanuts) watering can planter

  This uncommon find is a watering can-shaped planter featuring Woodstock and Snoopy.  The item is made of ceramic and stands 5" tall.  The spout has five holes in it, enabling the watering can to be used as a watering can.  The interior is also open enough that the item could be used as a planter as well.  The graphics show Woodstock offering Snoopy a bouquet of pink and blue flowers, and Snoopy sitting happily nearby with his arms spread apart.  This item is in mint condition.  It was manufactured sometime during the 1970s by Determined.

  This is a 5.75" wooden wall plaque showing Woodstock and Snoopy reclining casually atop Snoopy's red dog house roof, leaning against pink pillows on a sunny day.  The caption says Keep smiling!  It makes people wonder what you've been up to!  This item was manufactured by Hallmark sometime during the later 1970s or 1980s.  It retains its original gold foil manufacturer's sticker and its original metal hanging loop.  The item is undamaged and there are just a few small spots of edge wear on the paper litho, leaving this item in near mint condition.

  This is a 4.5" composition figurescene showing Woodstock sitting at a black typewriter as Snoopy sits behind him with a forlorn expression on his face.  The black lettering on the green paper caption sticker says My secretary isn't worth anything before coffee break.  This item was manufactured by Determined in 1971 as part of a larger collection of Peanuts character figurescenes.  This one is undamaged and in NM+ condition, and the original green felt protective undercovering (which also contains the item's copyright information) is intact underneath the royal blue base.

WOODSTOCK & SNOOPY (Peanuts) wall plaque -- Super-Dad

  This is a 7.5x5" wooden wall plaque showing Snoopy looking over his left shoulder and giving us a cheesy grin as he holds a grey trophy cup that has Woodstock popping up from inside of it.  The plaque's captions say The Super-Dad Award.  For always being a super-nice, super-smart, super-helpful, super-sensational dad!  This item is in near mint condition, with light surface wear being its only flaw.  The plaque retains its original manufacturer's sticker on the back, showing that it was manufactured by Hallmark.  Although not dated, this item probably was manufactured sometime during the earlier 1980s.

WOODSTOCK & SNOOPY (Peanuts) pen holder -- by fence

  This is a 3.75" tall by 6.75" wide pen holder featuring Woodstock and Snoopy.  It was made by Butterfly Originals, probably during the 1980s.  The glossy decal on the base shows Woodstock and Snoopy sitting on the roof of Snoopy's red dog house as Snoopy reads his mail.  In back of them, there is a pale yellow fence, two tall trees, and a white house with a shingled roof.  This item is in NM+ condition and appears never to have been used.  It retains its original black plastic pen holder and the original gold-colored metal pivoting anchor for that.

WOODSTOCK & SNOOPY (Peanuts) glass Christmas ornament

  Dashing through the snow // On an eight-horse (??) open sleigh // O'er the fields (??) we go // Laughing all the way . . . Seems to be an appropriate rendition of the age-old song to go along with this item if you ask us!  This is a 2.75" ball-style glass Christmas ornament showing Snoopy as Santa Claus on a red sled, with a team of Woodstock reindeer leading him through the snowstorm to deliver his green sack of goodies to all the good children of Peanutsland.  This item was manufactured by Hallmark sometime during the 1970s or 1980s.  It is undamaged and has minor wear, mostly in the form of light surface spotting on the underside of the ornament, leaving it in EX+ to NM- condition.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) friction toy

  This is a 5" tall plastic friction toy known as the Woody Woodpecker Motor Friend.   The paper litho on both sides of the toy show Woody Woodpecker sitting behind the steering wheel of his car.  The "car" has white wheels, which are the toy's friction mechanism.  When the back wheels are spun and Woody is released on a smooth, hard surface, he rolls right along.  This item was manufactured in 1975 by Nasta Industries.  It is in fine working condition and is free of damage.  The paper litho shows signs of minor wear, particularly along the edges, and minor and very small spots of paint loss, primarily along the edges of Woody's yellow beak.  Overall, this unusual and difficult-to-find item is in EX to EX+ condition.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) collector's glass

  This is a 5" Brockway-style collector's glass of Woody Woodpecker.  It is an interaction style glass, showing Woody wielding a large black butterfly net and gleefully chasing a large red, white, and blue butterfly in a meadow-like setting.  The glass has black lettering and a white Pepsi logo behind Woody's left foot.  This glass appears never to have been used and retains a glossy exterior.  It was distributed by fast food restaurants serving Pepsi products as a premium giveaway during the mid-1970s.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) plush & vinyl doll

  This is a 10" doll of Woody Woodpecker, manufactured by California Stuffed Toys in 1982.   Woody's head is made of soft red plush; his body is soft blue and white plush; his beak and feet are yellow vinyl; his eyes are glued-on vinyl; his eyebrows are black glued-on felt; and his blue-and-white striped bowtie is made of cloth.  This item is in nearly perfect condition and retains its original manufacturer's label, which is clear and sewn securely into Woody's right hip.  This item was manufactured along with a Chilly Willy counterpart, which we also have in stock at this time.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) tall bank

  This is a 10" plastic bank of Woody Woodpecker, who is shown with his left arm bent and resting on his hip and his right hand and index finger raised, as he looks happily over his left shoulder.  The coin slot is located on the rear left side of Woody's head; the original generic plastic stopper is no longer present on the underside of his feet.   This item was manufactured by Imco in 1977.  It is free of damage and has only a few tiny specks of paint loss--nearly perfect condition-wise other than the absence of the original stopper.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) plush doll

  This is an 18.5" plush doll showing Woody Woodpecker standing with both arms by his sides as he looks off toward his right side with his glued-on plastic eyes.  The doll is in nearly perfect condition and is lightweight for its size.  It comes with its original cardboard hang tag, which features an image of Woody running.  It also retains its original manufacturer's label, which is sewn securely into Woody's right leg.  The doll was manufactured in 1989 by Ace Novelty.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) magic draw set

  This item is very much like a child's Spirograph toy.  The tan ring that Woody Woodpecker is shown holding is intended to serve as the frame for the design wheels.  The package comes with three sizes of plastic pen-insert wheels, one made of neon orange plastic, one of yellow plastic, and one of lime green plastic.  Woody himself appears to be made of plastic as well.  This item was manufactured by Ja-Ru in 1992.  It is in mint condition, having never been removed from its original clear-plastic blisterpack (which is in perfect condition) or its original cardboard mounting card.   The mounting card has residue on the "DY" in "Woody Woodpecker" in the upper right-hand corner, where the original price tag was affixed and then removed.   The mounting card is 10" tall by 6" wide.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) tooting locomotive

  This rare find is a 4x8" plastic tooting locomotive, featuring Woody Woodpecker as the engineer.  The train has a red smokestack, red wheels, a green boiler, a black cab, and silver bell and steam releases.  This toy is battery-operated and it comes complete with mystery action and "realistic tooting sound" according to the box.  The toy is in mint, unused condition and it remains sealed inside of its original box.  The box has colorful graphics showing a drawn version of this item traveling in a desert.  The box has some wear and creasing on the raised backdrop, but it is in no worse than EX condition overall.  Woody was manufactured by GLJ Toy Company in 1977.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) bisque figurine -- matador

  This is a 5" bisque figurine showing Woody Woodpecker as a matador.  He wears a black matador's hat on his head and holds an orange-and-brown cape off toward his left side with both hands.  Nearby, a green frog watches him . . . perhaps it is a bull frog.  (get the pun?!)  This item was manufactured in 1984 by United China and Glass as part of a larger collection of Woody Woodpecker figurines.  It is free of damage and has a few tiny specks of paint loss, leaving it in NM+ condition.  Best of all, this figurine comes with its original box.  Although the box shows an image of one of the other figurines in the set on the front, this IS the original box, because the proper item IS marked on the side, in a checkbox.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) shoe holder

  This nifty item is a 34" soft vinyl children's shoe holder of Woody Woodpecker.  His "body" consists of 6 pouches of yellow vinyl, where shoes can be stored.  Above that area, there is a reinforced white area showing Woody's face, and below it, we see his orange feet.  This item was manufactured in 1978, but the copyright information does not indicate who made it.  The vinyl is in perfect condition and this item has virtually no sign of use or wear.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) figural lamp

  This is a 20" plastic figural lamp of Woody Woodpecker, who is shown standing on a white round base with a tuft of white grass between his feet.  Woody holds his hands together behind his back and is shown leaning forward.  He has a much-larger-than average head that has paper decal eyes.  The top part of the decal on his left eye has been torn, but as the picture shows, the eye is mostly intact and not a major distraction to the item.  Woody's plastic is entirely undamaged and the lamp works perfectly when it is plugged in.  There are a few small spots of paint loss and surface scratches in the paint, but overall, this item is in EX to EX+ condition.  It was made in 1974 by Carolina Enterprises.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) ceramic figure

  This is a 3.25" ceramic figurine of Woody Woodpecker standing beside a tree on a green spot of what is supposed to be grass.  His back is up against the tree as is his right arm; his left hand is extended as if he's hand gesturing while he speaks.  This item was manufactured in 1975; no maker is listed on the item.  The ceramic is in perfect condition and paint loss is extremely minimal.  Overall, this item is in NM+ condition.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) coffee cup -- I love you

  This is a 3.75" earthenware coffee cup / mug showing Woody Woodpecker casually lounging on the end of a tree branch.  On the tree's trunk, he has carved his name inside of a heart.  Inside of the upper rim of the cup / mug, the item says I Love You! in red lettering.  Woody was manufactured by Applause sometime during the 1980s.  He is in mint condition and comes with his original box, which is also in nice condition.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) plush doll

  This is a 13.5" plush doll of Woody Woodpecker, whose glued-on plastic eyes are positioned so as to make him look like he is looking toward his right.  This doll has a gold lame hanging loop on top of Woody's red crest, enabling it to be hung from a nail, too.  It was manufactured by Ace Novelty in 1985, as indicated on the original manufacturer's label that is sewn into Woody's left foot.  This doll is free of damage and the plush is intact.  There is some minor use-related surface soiling, leaving Woody in near mint condition.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) wind-up hopping toy

  This is a 9" tall wind-up hopping toy of Woody Woodpecker.  Woody has a vinyl head and plastic hands and feet.  He is wearing a fuzzy white and dark blue outfit to resemble his body feathers/colors.  The wind-up mechanism is located on his left side.  When it is wound up and Woody is subsequently placed on a hard, flat surface, he hops around.  The wind-up mechanism and hopping action both work very well.   This item was manufactured by Illco in 1980.  Woody is in nearly perfect condition.

  This is a 4.75" bisque figurine showing Woody Woodpecker wearing a Santa Claus outfit and popping out of the top of a green Christmas gift with his arms outstretched sideways from his body.  This item is in NM+ condition, with no damage and only very slight paint wear.  It was manufactured sometime during the 1980s by United China and Glass Company, as part of a larger collection of Woody Woodpecker figurines.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) coffee cup -- I miss you

  This is a 3.75" earthenware coffee cup / mug showing Woody Woodpecker anxiously opening his empty mailbox.  Inside of the upper rim of the cup / mug, there is a blue caption saying I Miss You!  This item is in mint condition and it comes with its original box, which is also in nice shape.  Woody was manufactured by Applause sometime during the 1980s.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) bubb-a-loons

  This item is in mint condition, still contained on its original cardboard mounting card and inside of its original clear-plastic blisterpack.  The blisterpack is undamaged and is in great shape.  There is a single small and light crease in the mounting card, by the bottom right-hand corner of the bubb-a-loons tube; otherwise, it is in perfect condition.  This item is a tube of a plastic toothpaste-like substance (bubb-a-loons) that is placed in a blob on the end of a small straw (contained inside of the blisterpack) and then blown by mouth into a balloon.  When the balloon is separated from the straw and the end is closed off while the plastic is still soft and wet, it will harden somewhat and retain its shape.  The mounting card shows Woody Woodpecker with his nephew, Splinter, holding their very own Woody Woodpecker bubb-a-loons.  This item was manufactured by Imperial Toy Corporation in 1978.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) soaky

  This is the mid-1960s soaky of Woody Woodpecker that Colgate-Palmolive manufactured.  It is a a blue soaky with white eyes and chest and yellow beak and hands.  The cap is red and also serves as Woody's crest; it is made of plastic.  This soaky is free of damage.   It has a few small spots of minor paint wear on Woody's beak and on one of his fingers.  Overall, it is in NM- to NM condition.  Best of all, it retains nearly all of its original shampoo!

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) ceramic bank

  This is a 7.25" tall ceramic bank of Woody Woodpecker, who is shown from the middle of the chest up, popping up from what is supposed to be a hollow tree stump.  The coin slot is located on the back of Woody's back, and the original generic black rubber stopper is intact on the underside of the bank.  This item was manufactured by Applause during the 1980s, although its only copyright marking indicates a 1957 copyright year.  The bank is in mint condition and is being sold with its original box, which is in EX to EX+ condition, with some minor edge wear being its only flaw.

WOODY WOODPECKER (Walter Lantz) Flip-It toy

  This is an 18" Flip-It toy featuring Woody Woodpecker.  The toy consists of one purple and one light blue balloon, which are supposed to be inflated and placed inside of the thin vinyl piece that shows Woody Woodpecker with his arms raised in the air.  Then, this piece is attached to the lightweight cardboard feet so that, when it is tossed in the air, Woody always lands upright.  This toy is in mint, unused condition and it remains sealed in its original packaging.  It was manufactured by Tillotson Rubber Company in 1977.  Its original sale price was $0.69.

  This is a firmly-stuffed plush doll of Woody Woodpecker, standing 13" tall.  He has a tall red crest, yellow beak, blue body with a white chest, white hands, and yellow feet.  Woody comes with his original cardboard hang tag (affixed to his right arm) and his original manufacturer's label (sewn securely into his right leg).  This doll was manufactured by Ace Novelty Company in 1985.  It is in NM+ condition.
