PLUTO (Walt Disney) doll

  This is a hard-stuffed doll of Pluto, originally manufactured during the later 1960s or 1970s.   The original tag, which is complete, undamaged, and sewn securely into Pluto's hind leg, bears the Walt Disney Productions marking.  Pluto is bright orange in color, with glued-on felt eyes, eyebrows, and a black pompon nose.  He has a blue felt dog collar around his neck, a black felt tail, and black corduroy ears.  His body's orange material is corduroy as well.  This item is 6" tall.  It is bright and colorful, and completely without damage.  It is in near mint condition at worst.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) Christmas ornament -- with trumpet

  This is a 1.5x3.25" PVC Christmas ornament showing Pluto crouching on the ground and blowing a gold trumpet.  He wears a Santa Claus hat and a lime green scarf around his neck.  This item is in mint condition, although it does not have a hanging cord.  There is no indication anywhere on this item as to who made it or when it was manufactured, although our best guess is that Pluto dates to the 1980s.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) finger puppet

  This is a 3" soft vinyl finger puppet of Pluto, who is shown panting and with his arms raised as if he were begging for something.  Pluto bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking and probably dates to the 1970s.  There is no indication anywhere on this item as to who made it.  Pluto is free of damage and he has very little paint wear, leaving him in NM to NM+ condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) plush doll -- sitting

  This is a 7" plush doll showing Pluto sitting on all fours, with his red felt tongue sticking out of his mouth.  He has his original black felt ears and tail, and his original red felt dog collar too.  This doll is in mint condition and it retains its original manufacturer's label, which is also in nice condition and sewn securely into Pluto's rear end.  It shows that he was manufactured for distribution at Walt Disney World gift shops.  With the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking, this item dates to the mid-1970s or early 1980s.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) composition bank

  This is a 6.5" composition bank of Pluto, who is shown sitting on all fours, panting, and looking upward and to his left.  Pluto wears a blue dog collar around his neck and his tongue is sticking out of his mouth and languishing down his chin on the opposite side of the bank.  The coin slot is located on his back and the original generic black rubber stopper is missing from the underside of his feet.  The original gold foil manufacturer's sticker is present on Pluto's behind, bearing the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking.  Pluto was probably made sometime during the later 1960s or 1970s.  The copyright information does not indicate who the manufacturer was, though.  This item is free of damage and has only minor paint wear, leaving it in near mint condition.

  This is a 9.5" plastic paddle ball toy in the shape of Pluto.  he wears a blue dog collar around his neck, and the toy has a black handle and a multi-colored ball.  It is in mint, unused condition and remains sealed inside of its original packaging.  The cardboard backing and header cards both have colorful graphics, showing Pluto enjoying his very own Pluto paddle ball toy.  This item was manufactured by Monarc Products Inc. sometime during the 1970s, and it has the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking.

  This is a 3.5" hard vinyl figure showing Pluto sitting on all fours with his left ear perked up, as if he is listening to something in the distance.  Pluto has black toenails and a black dog collar around his neck.  He bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking and probably dates to the 1960s or 1970s.  There is no indication anywhere on this item as to who made it.  Pluto is undamaged and has very little paint wear, leaving him in NM to NM+ condition.

  This is a 6.5" jointed vinyl figure of Pluto, who is shown with his curved tail raised high in the air.  He is panting and wears a lime green dog collar around his neck.  Pluto's arms and legs are movable and his head swivels.  He bears the Disney China copyright marking and probably dates to the 1980s or earlier 1990s.  There is no indication anywhere on him as to who made him.  Pluto is free of damage but does have minor marks and minor paint wear on him.  Overall, he is in EX+ condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) push puppet

  This is a 3.25" plastic push puppet showing Pluto standing on all fours, with his tail raised in the air behind him.  When the bottom of the blue oval base on which he stands is depressed, Pluto collapses in his various joints, only to upright himself again when the base is released.  This item was manufactured by Gabriel Industries in 1977.  It is in virtually perfect condition.

  This fun item is a 6.5" ceramic figurine of Pluto, who is shown sitting on his haunches and panting happily.  He wears a blue dog collar and is shown looking downward and slightly toward his right.  This item is in virtually perfect condition.  Pluto bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking, and he probably dates to the 1960s or 1970s.  There is no indication anywhere on him regarding who made him.

  This is a 2.75" bisque figurine, showing Pluto with a paint brush in his mouth and a turtle underneath his rear end.  The two of them are looking at each other as Pluto has a paintbrush full of red paint.  Pluto's front left paw is raised, just above the paint bucket.  This item bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking and probably dates to the 1970s.  There is no indication of who the manufacturer was.  This figurine has no damage or paint loss and, thus, is in mint condition.

  This ceramic figurine of Pluto is 2.5" tall and 4.75" long.  He is shown in a walking position, with his tail resting on the back of his right hind leg and his ears resting against his front quarters.  Pluto is smiling, looking off toward his right, and wearing a red dog collar.  He bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking and, thus, probably dates to the 1960s or 1970s.  The copyright information does not indicate who made this item, though.  Pluto is free of damage and has just a single tiny sliver of paint loss on the underside of his nose.  He is in NM+ condition.

  This cute jointed vinyl figure of Pluto stands 4.25" tall.  He has movable ears, head, and legs, and comes with a curved black rubber tail and a red plastic dog collar around his neck.  Pluto bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking and probably dates to the 1970s.  There is no indication anywhere on him as to who made him.  He is in NM+ condition and is free of damage.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) heavy plush doll

  This is a 13" heavy plush doll of Pluto, who is shown sitting on all fours, leaning forward and panting.  He wears a red dog collar and has glued-on felt facial features, a black pompon nose, and black plush ears and tail.  The doll was manufactured by California Stuffed Toys, as indicated on the original manufacturer's label that is sewn into Pluto's rear end.  The doll bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking and probably dates to the late 1970s or early 1980s.  It is in near mint condition, with minor play wear being its only flaw.

  This is a 2.5" porcelain Christmas ornament in the shape of a bell.  It is white in color and it has two images of a smiling Pluto alongside three holly leaves.  This item is in mint condition.  Its copyright information does not indicate who made it or when it was manufactured.  With the Disney Japan copyright marking, this item probably dates to the 1980s or 1990s.

  This is a 1.5x2.75" PVC figure showing Pluto happily walking along.  His ears blow in the breeze behind him, his tail is wagging high in the air, and his tongue is sticking out of the left side of his mouth.  This figure bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking and probably dates to the 1970s or early 1980s.  The copyright information gives no indication of Pluto's manufacturer.  He is free of damage and paint wear, and has a few very small specks and small rubs on him.  Overall, he is in NM- condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) soaky

  This is a 6.75" vinyl soaky showing Pluto happily sitting on his haunches, smiling, as he looks upward and slightly toward his left.  He wears a red dog collar around his neck.  This item was manufactured by Avon during the early 1970s as part of a set of collectible Walt Disney cartoon character shampoo bottles that also included, among others, the Mad Hatter, Mickey Mouse, and Marie from The Aristocats.  Pluto is empty, undamaged, and has very minor paint wear on his nose, leaving him in NM+ condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) Italian squeak toy 

  This is a 5.25" vinyl (or possibly rubber) squeak toy showing Pluto as a puppy, with both ears raised, his front left paw raised, and a big smile on his face.  Pluto wears a light blue dog collar and is shown looking upward and toward his right.  When squeezed, he gives off a hearty squeaking sound.  This item bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking, along with an encircled elephant.  He was manufactured in Italy as part of a larger collection of Walt Disney cartoon character squeak toys (several of which we have in stock at this time), probably during the 1960s or earlier 1970s.  Pluto is free of damage and paint wear.  He is in mint condition and is as nice now as when he rolled off the assembly line 30+ years ago!

PLUTO (Walt Disney) Christmas ornament

  This is a 3.25" composition Christmas ornament of Pluto, who is shown standing on all fours and looking behind him, over his right shoulder.  He has a red ribbon tied around the tip of his tail (which rests on his back) and a green holly wreath slung around his neck.  This item is in NM+ condition.  It was manufactured sometime during the 1970s and it bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking.  There is no indication anywhere on the item as to who made it, though.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) cloth & vinyl hand puppet

  During the 1950s, Gund manufactured a number of cartoon character hand puppets with cloth bodies (usually using generic print fabrics for this part of the hand puppets), felt fingers/hands, and vinyl heads.  This is one of the Pluto hand puppets in that set.   (We have several others--some Disney, some not--in stock at this time as well.)   From top to bottom, this item measures 9.5".  Pluto's face is peach-colored with black nose and ears.  The vinyl is nice and soft and without damage, although there is one spot of paint loss on the side of Pluto's nose.  His cotton cloth body is light blue in color and is decorated with orange, green, and purple French poodles.  The cloth is complete and undamaged, although it is somewhat soiled from being handled over the years.  The hands are made of yellow felt.  All fingers are present and in perfect condition.  The original manufacturer's label is present, too, and in nice, clear, readable shape.  Overall, this item is in EX+ condition.

  This is a 2.5" bisque figurine showing Pluto sitting up on his hind legs in a begging pose.  He wears a green dog collar around his neck and his tail is shown raised vertically along his back.  He is also shown looking off toward his right.  Pluto was manufactured in 1989 as part of a larger collection of Walt Disney cartoon character figurines, and he bears the Walt Disney Company copyright marking.  He is in mint condition.

  This is a 3.5" tall by 7" long rubber bendy of Pluto, who is shown wearing a blue dog collar around his neck.  He has a bendable tail, legs, ears, and body.  Pluto was manufactured by Durham Industries and he bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking.  He probably dates to the 1970s.  He is completely free of damage, and wear is very minimal, leaving this item in NM+ condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) musical

  This is a 4.5" ceramic musical showing Pluto sitting on his haunches, panting, and facing left.  He is perched atop a round white base that is decorated on top with green stripes.  When the musical's base is wound up, Pluto rotates and plays A Spoonful of Sugar.  Both the musical and revolving mechanisms work just fine, although there is a bit of a tinny quality to the music itself.  This item was manufactured by Schmid sometime during the 1970s and it bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking.  It retains the original manufacturer's copyright sticker on the underside of the base.  Pluto is in mint condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) Christmas ornament

  This Christmas ornament of Pluto is 4.25" from the tip of the tail to the top of the head.  It is made of lightweight, hollow, blown plastic and is covered with flocking.  Pluto has glued-on paper eyes, thin plastic ears, and a red cloth dog collar around his neck.  On his behind, he retains his original copyright sticker, which bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking.  Although the maker is not indicated nor is the year of manufacture, this item probably dates to the later 1960s or 1970s.  It is undamaged but has a few small stains on the flocking.  Overall, it is in EX condition and it does have its original thin gold lame hanging cord.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) beanie cap

  This unusual find is a 7.75" felt beanie cap featuring Pluto, who is shown sitting on his haunches, panting, and looking downward and toward his right.  The cap is mostly brown and white in color, and the reverse side shows Pluto from the rear view.  The beanie is undamaged although there are some light surface stains below Pluto's name on the front of the beanie and around the upper portion of his head on both sides of it.  These stains are visible in the photograph accompanying this description, so you can see that they do not detract too much from the overall appearance of this item.  Overall, Pluto is in EX condition.  He was manufactured by Rockmore Company and he probably dates to the 1950s or 1960s.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) squeak toy -- begging, small size

  This Pluto item is a pale peach color, with black-painted and red accents.  This is a 3.75" tall vinyl squeak toy of Pluto, who is shown in a sit-up-and-beg pose.  When squeezed, this item gives off a surprisingly hearty squeaking sound.  The vinyl is completely without damage and paint wear is minimal on this item.  Although no manufacturer is indicated, the Walt Disney Productions (W.D.P.) marking appears on Pluto's backside, suggesting that he was made sometime during the 1960s.  Overall, it is in EX+ condition.  This particular squeak toy is one of the less-commonly-found Pluto squeak toy items made over the years.

  This is a 5.5" tall by 7.5" long firmly stuffed cloth doll of Pluto, who is shown standing on all four legs with his snout aimed toward the ground, as if he is sniffing it.  He has glued-on felt facial features, black felt ears and tail, and a red vinyl dog collar around his neck.  Pluto retains his original manufacturer's label, which is in very nice condition and sewn securely into his rear end.  The label gives no indication as to who made this doll.  It is copyrighted with the Walt Disney Productions copyright mark, and probably dates to the 1970s.  Pluto is in NM+ condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) blue plastic figure

  During the later 1970s (1978 in this specific instance), Durham Industries released a large collection of Walt Disney cartoon character plastic figures.  Each item they made was plastic and produced in a variety of single, solid colors.  This 4.75" tall one of a prancing Pluto is deep blue in color, with white-painted eyes.  This item has no damage but it does have some minor surface wear, leaving it in EX+ condition overall.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) vinyl nodder

  This fun item is a 7.5" vinyl nodder showing Pluto sitting on all fours on a round, green base, looking up to the sky and grinning.  He wears a red dog collar and has movable ears.  When his head is touched, it bobbles away for quite awhile before stopping.  This item probably dates to the 1960s or earlier 1970s, and it bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking.  There is no indication anywhere on the item as to who made it.  With minimal paint wear and no damage, Pluto is in no worse than near mint condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) bisque figurine -- eating bone

  This is a 1.75" tall by 2.5" long bisque figurine showing Pluto crouching forward, contentedly gnawing on a white dog bone.  He is shown on a pale tan oval base that is supposed to look like the ground.  He wears a blue dog collar and his tail drapes down across his back.  Pluto was manufactured in 1987, but his copyright information does not indicate who made him.  He was sold as part of a larger Walt Disney cartoon character figurine set, and we have many of the other items from this set in stock at this time as well.  Pluto is in mint condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) large hollow ceramic figure

  This is an 8.5" hollow ceramic figure of Pluto.  It bears no copyright information and, consequently, may have been a home-made, unlicensed product.  It was probably manufactured/made sometime during the 1970s or 1980s.  Pluto is shown with blue eyes, black ears and nose, maroon/brown dog collar, and pink tongue.  He is sitting on all fours, panting happily.  There are two tiny (1/16") spots that were never glazed and one very small (1/8") recolored rough spot on Pluto's tail.  Overall, this item is in near mint condition.

  This fun item is a 9.5" rubber squeak toy showing Pluto walking along in mid-stride.  His tail and ears are extended behind him, and he pants.  Pluto wears a blue dog collar.  He is banana yellow in color with brown and black accents.  When squeezed, his head gives off a hearty squeaking sound.  This item is free of damage and in EX+ condition, with several small spots of minor paint loss and a few small white surface marks scattered about.  Pluto was manufactured in Italy sometime during the 1960s, and his copyright information does not indicate who made him.

  This is a 3.5" bisque figurine of Pluto, who is shown sitting and staring happily at a pale green crab that is sitting between his left front and left rear legs.  This figurine stands on a pale yellow oval base.  It is free of damage and there is a single speck of paint loss on the back of Pluto's right ear.  This item is, therefore, in NM+ condition.  It bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking, but it gives no indication of who the manufacturer was.  This is probably a 1970s item.

  This unusual find is a 3" vinyl pencil sharpener of Pluto, who is shown standing on all fours, with his right front paw raised as he looks happily behind him.  This item is in mint condition and it remains sealed inside of its original packaging.  Pluto was made during the late 1970s as part of a larger collection of Walt Disney cartoon character pencil sharpeners, but the copyright information does not indicate who made him.  The cardboard header card has colorful graphics of Disneyland's Magic Castle along with images of Pluto, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Minnie Mouse.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) hard vinyl mechanical bank

  During the 1970s, Animal Toys Plus released a series of hard vinyl Walt Disney banks.   Included in that series were Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and this one of Pluto.  (We have all of them in stock at this time.)  Pluto's left hand has a slot in it for holding the coin.  When the arm is lowered, the coin can be placed directly into the roof of the dog house, which serves as the bank.  Pluto is shown sitting in front of this small green, brown, and black dog house, atop a circular black base.  The original coin trap is no longer present.  This bank stands 8.75" tall.  There are a few small spots of paint loss, particularly on Pluto's nose and on the edges of the dog house's roof.  There are also a few very small marks on the back of the bank.  Overall, this item is in EX condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) hand puppet

  If you are a collector of hand puppets or of Pluto items, you will never find one in nicer condition than this one!  This is a mint condition, sealed-in-its-original-package figural hand puppet, measuring 10.5" from top to bottom.  The puppet has a cloth figural body, showing Pluto sitting on his haunches with his arms bent and outwardly extended.  It has a vinyl head, showing Pluto with both ears raised and bent forward, with an angry expression on his face.  This item was manufactured during the 1970s for distribution at the Walt Disney World park, and was sold as part of a larger collection of Walt Disney cartoon character hand puppets.  (We also have the Donald Duck counterpart in its original package, as well as a few of the others in this set without their packaging.)  This item bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking on the header card and on its manufacturer's label, and there is no indication of who made the item.  Condition-wise, the only thing to note other than how beautiful this item is, is that the cellophane and header card are coming apart on the right side.

  This is a lightweight jointed vinyl figure of Pluto, measuring 7.75" tall and 9" long.  Pluto wears a red plastic dog collar around his neck and has movable ears, legs, and tail.  He was manufactured by R. Dakin Company during the early 1970s as part of a large collection of cartoon character figures, many others of which we also have in stock at this time.  Pluto is free of damage.  Paint wear is limited to the pads underneath his feet, and his hind legs have some light superficial scratches on them from children having played with Pluto over the years.  Overall, he is in EX+ to NM- condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) rubber banks -- two sizes

  Here you are looking at two substantively similar items, differing only in size and condition.  The smaller one is 5.5" tall and the larger one is 6.5" tall.  Both are pliable rubber banks of Pluto, who is shown sitting on all fours, panting.  On the backs of their heads, both Plutos have an area marked that can be sliced to create the bank's coin slot, although neither has been cut for that purpose.  Underneath their bottoms, both Plutos have holes that could be enlarged for removal of the coins.  These items were manufactured by Walter J. Jamieson Inc. and they probably date to the 1960s or 1970s.  The larger of the two is in NM+ condition, with just a fleck or two of minor paint loss.  The smaller of the two is in EX- condition, with a nick on the top of the left eyebrow and a few small nicks on the side of Pluto's left foot.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) squeak toy -- sitting

  This is a 5.5" vinyl squeak toy of Pluto, who is shown sitting on all fours, with his right ear raised and "perked up."  He is pale yellow in color with black ears, black pie-style eyes, a black nose, red dog collar around his neck, and brown accents on his joints and toenails.  When squeezed, Pluto gives off a honking sound.  He bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking, inside of a circle that also pictures an elephant.  The company that made him is located in Italy, and they also made Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse counterparts to this item.  Pluto probably dates to the 1960s.  He is free of damage but does have paint wear on his right pupil, his raised right ear, his dog collar, and on most of his toenails.  Overall, he is in EX condition.

PLUTO (Walt Disney) squeak toy -- licking chops

  This is a 6.25" vinyl squeak toy showing Pluto sitting on his haunches, head raised, looking upward, and licking his chops with his tongue sticking out of the right side of his mouth.  He is orange in color with yellow ears and an off-white face.  When squeezed firmly, Pluto gives off a hearty squeaking sound.  He is free of damage but does have signs of paint wear on his eyes, nose, ears, and tongue.  Overall, he is in EX to EX+ condition.  Pluto bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking and probably dates to the mid-1960s.  He was made by Holland Hall, which also manufactured a number of other Walt Disney cartoon character squeak toys, a few of which we have in stock at this time as well.

POGO (Walt Kelly) cup/mug

  This is a 4.25" blue plastic cup/mug showing Pogo standing and looking over his right shoulder.  He wears a yellow hat with a black band and a red-and-black striped shirt.  This item was manufactured during the early 1970s as part of a complete set of Pogo character cups/mugs.  There is no indication anywhere on this item as to who made it.  Pogo is undamaged and the cup/mug shows only very light evidence of use or wear, leaving it in NM+ condition.

POGO (Walt Kelly) vinyl figure

  This is a 4.25" vinyl figure of Pogo, from Walt Kelly's long-running comic strip of the same name.  He has a swiveling head, a yellow crumpled hat, and an orange shirt with black vertical stripes.  Pogo holds his left hand on his belly and his right hand behind his back.  He was manufactured in 1969 as part of a set of six detergent premium giveaway figures that also included Albert Alligator, Churchy LaFemme, Howland Owl, Beauregard Hound, and Porky Pine.  We currently have all of them in stock.  Pogo is very bright and colorful, with very little paint wear.  He is in NM+ condition.

POINDEXTER (Felix the Cat) cat toy

  This is a 4.5" stuffed cloth cat toy of the scientific boy genius, Poindexter.  He wears a black mortarboard, black horned-rim glassed with blue-grey lenses, and a white lab coat.  He stands with both hands clasped together in front of him.  Poindexter has a black string with a red plastic ring and a metal bell attached to the top of his mortarboard.  He is in mint condition and is filled with stuffing and catnip.  Although he himself is unmarked, he was manufactured in 1997 and was a copyrighted item at that time.  (We know this from another that we had in stock awhile back, which was in mint condition and sealed in its original packaging.)
