POPEYE (Fleischer / King Features) toy telephone
Here, we have three very similar items for sale, identical except for the color of their plastic. They are plastic toy telephones--one red, one blue, one green--showing Popeye on the dial, making a telephone call. They are all in mint, unused condition and all are still sealed inside of their original clear-plastic blisterpacks and still mounted on their original 9x6.75" cardboard mounting cards. The blisterpacks are colorful, with images of Popeye holding SweePea, who is holding his own telephone near Popeye's face. These items were manufactured in 1970 by Larami. The red one has some crinkling of the blisterpack and some curling on the lower portion of the mounting card. The blue one has some curling of the mounting card as well. All of these toys are unused, though, and in original condition.

POPEYE (Fleischer / King Features) carnival chalk
This pretty incredible find is a 7" carnival
chalk statue of Popeye, who is shown sitting angrily (or pensively) on a log,
resting his chin on his left fist as he looks off toward his right. This
item is a licensed King Features product with a 1929 incision date on it.
There is no indication anywhere on the item as to who made it. Popeye is
undamaged but he does have numerous small spots of paint loss scattered about
him. Overall, he is probably in EX- condition--quite nice (unusually
nice), particularly for such an old collectible of him!

POPEYE (Fleischer / King Features) nightlight
This nifty find is
an 8" vinyl nightlight showing Popeye sitting with his legs crossed, both
arms akimbo on his hips, with a cream-colored can of spinach in his lap.
When the lamp is plugged into a wall socket, it gives off a nice glow. It
works well and was manufactured by Alan Jay in 1959. Undamaged, this
Popeye item is in no worse than near mint condition.

very nice condition. It has fun graphics showing various configurations of

POPEYE (Fleischer / King Features) vinyl & cloth doll
In
1979, Uneeda released three vinyl-and-cloth dolls featuring Popeye cartoon characters:
Olive Oyl, Swee Pea, and this one of Popeye. Popeye is approximately 7" tall. He has a
vinyl head and
vinyl arms. On his head, he wears a dark blue cap with a white band on it. His
yellow pipe is part of the head mold. He wears a black cloth shirt with a red cloth
collar, and yellow plastic buttons. His legs/shoes are made of stuffed material and
are blue (legs) and black (shoes). Popeye has two tiny marks on his chin (that would
probably come off with cleaning, which we did not want to do for fear of harming this
otherwise-beautiful item). Otherwise, he is in perfect condition. He comes in
his original box, which is in VG condition. The cellophane window is completely
intact and undamaged. There are tears in the cardboard along the upper left and
upper right corners of the box (no cardboard missing--just torn), and there is a crumpled
area on the bottom left of the box's front side. The box is complete, though, and
generally in clear, displayable condition. As you can see in the
right-hand image, we also have one of these dolls loose, without a
package. It is in near mint condition, with no damage and just some minor
discoloration on the back of Popeye's head.

at this time). Popeye is in mint condition, having never been removed from his

POPEYE & SWEE PEA (Fleischer / King Features) bib
This
is a white cloth child's bib with red edging and red tie strings. On the left side,
Popeye is sitting on a red box with his arms outstretched toward Swee Pea, who is walking

spinach in the cans is not painted green but rather is outlined only faintly, visible only
with a relatively close inspection of the bib's image. The bib is 13" tall and
10.5" wide. It is a copyrighted item, with the faint copyright initials
"K.F.S." appearing just beneath Swee Pea's left foot. There is one small,
light stain beneath Popeye's right foot and another just above his left hand.

along with a Bugs Bunny counterpart, which we also have in stock at this
time. He retains his original manufacturer's label, which is in very nice
condition and sewn securely into the back of his right thigh. Porky has no
damage or marks anywhere on him. Parts of him are somewhat dingy and dusty
