BEANY pull-string talking doll

This nice old find is a 17" stuffed cloth doll of Beany from the Beany and Cecil cartoons. He has a vinyl head, vinyl hands, and vinyl sneakers.  There are two very nice things about this particular Beany doll.  First, he retains his original propeller, which is almost always missing or broken when this doll is found nowadays.  Second, his pull-string talking mechanism works just fine, and Beany can be understood quite easily when he says things like I like you and [giggle] You're funny, among others.  Beany was manufactured during the mid-1960s by Mattel.  He is free of damage and, overall, is in EX+ condition.  There is some paint loss on the lower edges of his shoes, where he comes into contact with the floor, as well as some light surface soiling on the material of his blue overalls from having been played with over the years.  All in all, though, Beany boy is a nice find who remains in nice condition.
