BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) PVC figure -- feeding bird

  This is a 3.25" PVC figure showing Bert holding a white bag of birdseed in his right hand while he holds his left hand in the air, so that the grey bird on top of his head can eat.  Bert has a rather forlorn expression on his face.  The figure was manufactured by Tyco in 1997.  It is undamaged and it has small spots of paint loss on the front of Bert's shoes, leaving it in near mint condition.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) stacking toy

  This is a 10.5" plastic stacking toy of Bert, who is shown wearing an orange and blue sweater, lime green pants, and orange shoes.  He even has a tuft of hair on top of his head!  This item is in NM to NM+ condition and, best of all, comes with its original and very hard to find box.  The box, as the picture shows, is in very rough condition, with some tears and masking tape on it; but hey, it's here and is rarely found with the Bert toy.  This item was manufactured by Child Guidance in 1975, making it one of the earlier Sesame Street character collectibles ever manufactured.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) rolling toy -- taxi

    This is a 2.25" die-cast metal rolling car showing Bert driving a yellow taxi with a black-and-white checkerboard design o the side.  He wears an orange cabbie's beret and an orange-and-white stripes shirt.  The taxi has grey plastic wheels that work well and enable the toy to roll along nicely on any hard, smooth surface.  This toy is undamaged but does have a number of small spots of paint loss on the edges.  It is in EX- condition overall.  Bert was manufactured by Playskool in 1983.  As you can see from the image on the right, we also happen to have one of these items in mint condition, still sealed inside of its original clear-plastic blisterpack and mounted on its original colorful cardboard mounting card.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) PVC figure -- crossing guard

  This is a 3.25" PVC figure of Bert, who is shown as a crossing guard trying to stop traffic with his raised stop sign (left hand) and his raised "halt" hand (right).  He wears a blue safety officer's hat, a light blue shirt, a blue necktie, blue pants, and white-and-brown shoes.  This item was manufactured by Applause and it probably dates to the 1980s or 1990s.  It is in NM+ condition.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) pump-action friction toy

  This is a 4.75" plastic-and-vinyl pump-action friction toy showing Bert driving a green roadster with black tires, a red steering wheel, yellow fenders, and a yellow grill.  He holds his right hand to his mouth.  When the black lever on his right side is lifted and the toy is placed on a hard, smooth surface, the friction mechanism is activated and the car scoots quickly along.  This item was manufactured by Tyco Preschool sometime during the 1980s or earlier 1990s.  It is in NM+, working condition.

  This is a 2.75" PVC figure showing Bert as a baseball player, prepared to bat.  He wears a green baseball cap backwards on his head, a white dickie, an orange-and-blue striped sweater, green pants, and black-and-white shoes.  This item was manufactured by Applause and it probably dates to the 1980s or 1990s.  It is in NM+ condition.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) rag doll -- medium size

  This is a 10" stuffed cloth rag doll of Bert, who wears a green, orange, and blue striped sweater, a white dickie, green pants, and brown-and-white shoes.  He is in mint condition and has never been removed from his original box.  The interior of the box is designed to resemble a doorstep on Sesame Street, to add additional character to this nifty item. Bert's cellophane window has some dings in it, but it is present, original, and generally intact.  This item was manufactured by Knickerbocker (style 2601) in 1975 along with Bert and Prairie Dawn counterparts.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) Christmas ornament -- gold balls

  This is a 3.75" resin Christmas ornament showing Bert standing and juggling a pile of gold Christmas ball-style ornaments.  He wears a red sweater with a white collar, green pants, and white bucks-style shoes with brown soles.  This item is in mint condition and retains its original gold lame hanging cord.  It was manufactured sometime during the past few years, probably by Kurt Adler, although the copyright information does not indicate that specifically.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) sun catcher

  This is a 7" plastic sun catcher showing Bert parachuting past a billowy white cloud.  His parachute is orange, yellow, and red in color, matching his sweater (orange), harness (yellow), pants (red), and shoes (yellow and red).  This item is in mint, unused condition and still remains sealed inside of its original clear-plastic blisterpack and still mounted on its original cardboard mounting card.  The mounting card has one small surface tear in the upper right-hand corner, where Bert's previous owner carelessly removed his price tag.  This item was manufactured by Vanderbilt Products Inc. and originally was sold along with Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and Ernie counterparts (all of which are shown on the back of the mounting card).  Although undated, this item probably was manufactured sometime during the 1980s.

  This PVC figure of surfer Bert stands nearly 3" tall.  It shows our hero wearing a 1920s style red-and-blue striped bathing suit and holding onto a red surfboard with a blue stripe and a yellow star.  This figure was manufactured by Applause and it probably dates to the 1980s or 1990s.  It is undamaged and has a few small marks on it, leaving Bert in near mint condition.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) Christmas ornament -- caroler

  This is a 3" composition Christmas ornament showing Bert as a caroler.  He holds a black and yellow lantern in his right hand, and a white song book in his left hand.  He wears a floppy orange cap, a green jacket with white trim, white pants, and orange snow boots.  This item retains its original gold lame hanging cord.  It probably was manufactured by Gorham and was made in 1981 as part of a set of Sesame Street / Muppets character ornaments.  Bert is in NM+ condition.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) PVC figure -- cowboy

  This is a 3" PVC figure showing Bert as a cowboy (or ranch hand, if you prefer), complete with a brown cowboy hat, a light blue neckerchief, a red shirt, a green vest, a black belt, light blue pants, and brown cowboy boots.  He holds the end of a brown rope in his raised right hand, and his body is ensnarled in the remainder of the rope.  This item was manufactured by Applause sometime during the 1980s or 1990s.  It is in mint condition.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) talking doll

  This is a 12" stuffed cloth doll of Bert, who wears his usual red, yellow, and green striped shirt with the white trim, lime green pants, and brown shoes.  He stands with both arms extended sideways from his body.  Behind him, there is a pull string that, when pulled, enables Bert to say such phrases as Listen to my friends and You're my best buddy, among others.  The talking mechanism sounds nothing like Bert, but it works just fine and can be understood easily.  The doll is in NM- to NM condition, with a few small spots of minor surface soiling being its only flaws.  Bert was manufactured by Knickerbocker sometime during the 1980s.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) stuffed doll

  This is a 13" stuffed cloth doll of Bert.  He has fuzzy black polyester hair and a black plush unibrow, along with yellow felt ears.  Bert wears lime green pants, brown shoes, a white shirt, and a green, yellow, and orange striped sweater.  He was manufactured by Knickerbocker and probably dates to the 1980s.  Bert retains his original manufacturer's label, which is sewn into his back.  It is completely worn and impossible to read, though, which is rather surprising, considering that Bert himself is in nearly perfect condition, with no damage and no conspicuous signs of wear.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) cake topper

  This is a 2.5" plastic cake topper showing Bert standing on a white round base.  He wears a green-and-white birthday party hat on his head, lime green pants, white shoes with black stripes on them, a white dickie, and a yellow-and-orange sweater.  This item was manufactured by Wilton as part of a larger set of Sesame Street character cake toppers.  Although undated, Bert probably was manufactured sometime during the 1980s.  He is in mint condition.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) bank

  This is a 13" hard vinyl bank of Bert, who is shown with an enlarged head and a rather stout body.  He has a thick black unibrow that is almost as tall as his hair!  Bert wears a yellow shirt with a white collar and scarlet and white stripes, along with black shoes.  The bank's coin slot is located on top of Bert's head and the original generic plastic stopper is no longer present.  Bert was manufactured in 1971 by New York Vinyl Products Corp.  He is free of damage and has very little paint loss, but he does have a number of small marks on him.  These marks were resistant to a gentle attempt at cleaning but probably would come off with a more thorough scouring job.  We didn't want to try this, though, for fear of damaging Bert's paint.  Overall, he is in EX+ condition--quite nice, particularly for an early-era and generally difficult-to-find Sesame Street collectible item!

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) finger puppet -- with birds

  This is a 3.5" vinyl finger puppet showing Bert from the chest upward, with both arms folded in front of him.  One light blue bird rests on his right wrist and another sits on his right shoulder.  The item is in NM+ condition.  It was manufactured by Tara Toy and probably dates to the 1990s.

  This 1980s or 1990s PVC figure of Bert stands 3" tall.  It shows him dressed as a vaudeville showman, complete with a white straw hat with a red band, a red-and-green striped sweater, white shirt, red bowtie, dark green pants, and black shoes with white spats.  Behind his back, Bert holds a white cane.  This item's copyright information does not indicate who made it.  Bert has no damage and just a few small spots of minor paint loss, leaving him in near mint condition overall.

  This is a 3" PVC figure showing Bert standing behind a large pink numeral 4.  In his right hand, he holds one red ball, and in his left hand, he has a stack of blue, orange, and green balls.  This item was manufactured by Applause sometime during the 1980s or 1990s as part of a complete set of Sesame Street / Muppets character numeral figures.  Bert is undamaged and in NM+ condition.

  This is a 19.5" stuffed pillow-style doll of Bert, who is shown standing with his arms bent akimbo at the hips.  Bert wears a white shirt, green pants, red-and-white shoes, and a green, red, and orange striped v-neck sweater.  His copyright information does not indicate who made him or when he was manufactured, although Bert probably dates to the 1970s or 1980s.  He is in virtually perfect condition.

  This is a 5" bright yellow plastic cookie cutter of Bert, who is shown standing with both arms resting by his sides.  The item is in NM to NM+ condition, with some residue in his crevices being his only flaw.  With a careful cleaning, all of this residue probably will come off, and that will leave Bert in virtually perfect shape.  He was manufactured in 1977 as part of a larger collection of Sesame Street / Muppets character cookie cutters, and his copyright information does not indicate who made him.

  This is a 4.75" plastic rolling toy showing Bert driving a truck/plane.  The plane part is blue with red pontoons on the wings.  The truck part has black tires with yellow hubcaps.  When placed on a hard, smooth surface, this toy can roll along quite easily, and the yellow propeller can be spun manually.  Bert wears a blue-and-orange sweater with a white shirt underneath.  This toy was manufactured by Illco, probably during the 1980s or earlier 1990s.  It is undamaged and has only minor evidence of wear, leaving Bert in NM+ condition.

  This is a 3.5" bisque Christmas ornament showing Bert inside of a Christmas wreath that is decorated with holly berries and candy canes, and a large red bow on bottom.  This item is in NM+ condition and, best of all, it comes with its original box.  The box has edge wear, but is undamaged and is completely intact, including its original clear-plastic front window.  This item was manufactured by Newcor as part of a larger collection of Sesame Street collectible ornaments.  Although the copyright information does not indicate the specific year that this item was made, it probably dates to the 1980s.

  From the white soles of his brown shoes to the top of his fuzzy black hair, this Bert beanbag doll is nearly 9" tall.  He has lime green pants and a blue, green, and orange striped sweater with white edging.  This item was manufactured in 1997 by Tyco Preschool as part of a 24-character beanbag doll collection.  Bert is in mint condition and he still retains his original cardboard hangtag.

  This is a 3.25" vinyl finger puppet of Bert, who has black wiry polyester hair.  He wears a lime green sweater over a white ribbed shirt, and is shown with both hands by his chest.  This item's copyright information does not indicate who made him or when he was manufactured, although our best guess is that this piece dates to the 1970s or 1980s.  Bert originally had an Ernie counterpart who also had wiry hair.  He is undamaged and shows very little wear, and is in NM to NM+ condition overall.

  This is a 3.75" bisque figurine showing Bert as a train conductor who rides on a number 6 red caboose with an orange roof and blue wheels.  He wears a blue uniform and holds a silver-and-orange lantern in his left hand.  This item is in mint condition and it comes with its original box.  Bert was manufactured in 1993 by Enesco as part of a set of Sesame Street / Muppets character train figurines, and he was named On My Way Bert by the manufacturer at the time of release.  According to the price stickers on this item, Bert originally cost $12.50 and then was marked down to $6.50 for final sale.

  This is a 2.25" tall by 2.75" long die-cast metal rolling toy showing Bert as the driver of a yellow school buss filled with happy Muppet children.  Bert wears a blue hat and a blue jacket with a red collar.  The bus is bright yellow with lime green plastic wheels.  This toy works well and rolls right along when placed on any hard, smooth surface.  It is undamaged and has only minor paint loss, leaving it in near mint condition.  Bert was manufactured by Playskool in 1983.

  This is a 3.5" composition Christmas ornament showing Bert ice skating.  He holds both hands together behind his back as he nonchalantly skates along.  Bert wears a yellow sweater with orange and blue stripes, a white scarf with red stripes, green pants, and white shoes with blue trim.  He is in mint condition and, best of all, comes with his original clear plastic display/storage box.  Bert was manufactured by Newcor and he probably dates to the 1980s or 1990s.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) composition figurine

    This is a 6.25" composition figurine of Bert, manufactured by Gorham in 1976 as part of a much larger collection of Sesame Street / Muppets character figurines.  (We have several of the others in stock at this time, too.)  Bert is shown wearing a white turtle-neck shirt, a yellow sweater with orange and green stripes, green pants, and white bucks.  His left arm rests by his side and his right hand is kept behind his back.  Bert is in mint condition and comes with his original blue-and-silver foil manufacturer's sticker AND his original corrugated cardboard inserts AND, best of all, his original box.  As you can see from the image on the right, we also have another Bert without his original box.  This item is in mint condition and it retains its original blue-and-silver foil copyright sticker.

  This die-cast metal rolling toy is 2.25" tall and 3.25" long, and it shows Bert driving a lime green jeep with a snowplow attached to the front.  The jeep has blue plastic wheels and a snowman in the back seat, wearing a lime green floppy hat.  This item was manufactured by Playskool in 1987.  It has no damage and scoots along the floor quite well when pushed.  The toy does have a few small spots of minor paint loss, leaving it in NM- to NM condition overall.

  This is a 5.75" plastic figure showing Bert holding a long yellow Allen wrench in both arms.  Bert wears an orange shirt, a bright green suit, yellow spats, and black shoes.  This toy was part of a set of Sesame Street characters that included Big Bird with a hammer, Grover with a screwdriver, and Ernie with a wrench.  The copyright information does not indicate who made this item or when it was manufactured, although it is probably a 1980s or a 1990s piece.  Bert is in mint condition.

  This is a 15.5" stuffed cloth doll of Bert, who has black tufts of hair and eyebrow (singular).  He wears a white dickie; a blue, lime green, and orange striped v-neck sweater; green pants; and brown-and-pale-tan shoes.  This doll is in NM+ condition and retains its original manufacturer's label, which is sewn securely into the middle of Bert's back.  It was manufactured by Knickerbocker sometime during the 1970s.

  This a 3.25" PVC figure showing Bert as a marching band member who plays a blue accordion.  He wears a tall green hat with a yellow band, black brim, and white feather, a red sweater with white trim, green pants, and white-and-black shoes.  Bert was manufactured by Applause, probably during the 1980s.  He is undamaged and has some minor paint loss on his right shoe, leaving him in near mint condition.

  This PVC figure of Bert sitting inside of a blue plastic canoe is 3" tall and 4.5" long.  Bert wears a blue-and-orange striped sweater with a white dickie, orange pants, and black-and-white shoes.  This item was manufactured by Tyco Preschool and it probably dates to the 1990s.  Bert is in virtually perfect condition, with some natural age-related yellowing of the blue on the canoe's seams being the item's only "flaw."

  This is a 7.5" cloth rag doll showing Bert with a tuft of black polyester hair, yellow felt ears, yellow felt hands, a white felt collar, green pants, brown shoes, and his trademark orange, green, and blue striped sweater.  This item was manufactured by Applause either during the 1980s (our best guess) or 1990s.  The original manufacturer's label is intact and sewn securely into Bert's back.  This doll is in NM+ condition.

  This uncommon find is a 16" stuffed cloth hand puppet of Bert.  He wears his usual green, blue, and orange striped sweater with the white edging, lime green pants, and brown-and-white shoes.  He has glued-on plastic eyes and bushy black eyebrows and a bushy black unibrow.  His rear end has an opening (we're not gonna say it . . . we're just not gonna say it!!) where someone--like a child--with a small hand can put a hand inside to "activate" Bert (just like a proctologist?!).  This item is free of damage, although Bert does have some light stains on his face and one on his right pant leg.  Overall, this item is in EX to EX+ condition.  It was manufactured by Applause, as indicated on the original manufacturer's label, which is in nice condition and sewn securely into the back of Bert's sweater.  Although undated, this item probably was made sometime during the 1980s or early 1990s.

  This is a 3" PVC figure that doubles as a refrigerator magnet.  It shows Bert and Ernie standing side by side, together holding a red-rimmed chalkboard that says Let's be friends! in white block lettering.  This item has no damage and only minor paint wear, leaving it in NM to NM+ condition.  The copyright information does not indicate who made this item or when it was manufactured, although it is probably a 1980s piece.

  This is a 1.75" resin Christmas ornament showing Bert and Ernie standing arm in arm, each holding a decorated Christmas wreath.  The item is in mint condition and it originally sold along with Big Bird and Cookie Monster/Oscar the Grouch counterparts.  It was manufactured by Carlton Cards in 2004 to commemorate the 35th birthday of Sesame Street.

BERT & ERNIE (Sesame Street / Muppets) lamp

  This is a 16" lamp showing Bert and Ernie side by side inside of a grey washtub.  Bert is playing a black washboard with blue slats with a wooden spoon in his left hand.  Ernie holds a yellow trumpet.  Their washtub is sitting on a yellow pull-along trailer with blue wheels.  They are made of vinyl and they are perched on a round yellow base with lime green edging.  Best of all, this item comes with its original, very-hard-to-find lampshade.  The lampshade shows Big Bird as a drum major leading Oscar the Grouch (playing trombone from inside of his wheeled trashcan), Cookie Monster (playing banjo from inside of his red wagon), and Bert and Ernie (inside of their wheeled washtub).  The lamp works perfectly.  The item's only flaw is that the shade is somewhat faded.  Overall, this item is in no worse than near mint condition.  It was manufactured during the 1970s but the copyright information does not indicate who made it.
