This item is
part of a set of three manufactured by S&J in 1986; the other two are listed
below. Here, we've got Papa Berenstain, clad in yellow shirt and bright blue
overalls. From the neck down, this item is made of vinyl; the head is covered with
flocking. It is 3.75" tall and in nearly perfect condition.

This is a 3.5"
bisque figurine showing Brother Bear form the Berenstain Bears standing on a
grassy area with a blue bird on his head. He holds his arms around a tan deer
and a white goat. The figurine is in nearly perfect condition. It was
manufactured in 1983 by Ebeling and Reuss as part of a large collection of
Berenstain Bears figurines.

BERNARD (The Rescuers / Walt Disney) collector’s glass
This is a
6.25" thick (i.e., Brockway style) collector’s glass of Bernard, from
Walt Disney’s feature-length animated cartoon The Rescuers. The front
of the glass has a large image of Bernard wearing a yellow raincoat and matching
hat while he uses his yellow lantern to look at something in dismay. The back of
the glass shows Bianca and Bernard looking at a map together during a rainstorm.
The glass is in mint condition and retains all of its original glossiness. It
has a beige Pepsi logo between the two images. This item was manufactured in
1977 as part of the Pepsi Rescuer Collector’s Series.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) stacking toy
This is a
10.5" plastic stacking toy of Bert, who is shown wearing an orange and blue
sweater, lime green pants, and orange shoes. He even has a tuft of hair on
top of his head! This item is in NM to NM+ condition and, best of all,
comes with its original and very hard to find box. The box, as the picture
shows, is in very rough condition, with some tears and masking tape on it; but
hey, it's here and is rarely found with the Bert toy. This item was
manufactured by Child Guidance in 1975, making it one of the earlier Sesame
Street character collectibles ever manufactured.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) rolling toy -- taxi
This is a
2.25" die-cast metal rolling car showing Bert driving a yellow taxi with a
black-and-white checkerboard design o the side. He wears an orange
cabbie's beret and an orange-and-white stripes shirt. The taxi has grey
plastic wheels that work well and enable the toy to roll along nicely on any
hard, smooth surface. This toy is undamaged but does have a number of
small spots of paint loss on the edges. It is in EX- condition
overall. Bert was manufactured by Playskool in 1983. As you can see
from the image on the right, we also happen to have one of these items in mint
condition, still sealed inside of its original clear-plastic blisterpack and
mounted on its original colorful cardboard mounting card.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) pump-action friction toy
This is a
4.75" plastic-and-vinyl pump-action friction toy showing Bert driving a
green roadster with black tires, a red steering wheel, yellow fenders, and a
yellow grill. He holds his right hand to his mouth. When the black
lever on his right side is lifted and the toy is placed on a hard, smooth
surface, the friction mechanism is activated and the car scoots quickly
along. This item was manufactured by Tyco Preschool sometime during the
1980s or earlier 1990s. It is in NM+, working condition.

This is a
2.75" PVC figure showing Bert as a baseball player, prepared to bat.
He wears a green baseball cap backwards on his head, a white dickie, an

This item was manufactured by Applause and it probably dates to the 1980s or
1990s. It is in NM+ condition.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) Christmas ornament -- gold balls
This is a
3.75" resin Christmas ornament showing Bert standing and juggling a pile of
gold Christmas ball-style ornaments. He wears a red sweater with a white
collar, green pants, and white bucks-style shoes with brown soles. This
item is in mint condition and retains its original gold lame hanging cord.
It was manufactured sometime during the past few years, probably by Kurt Adler,
although the copyright information does not indicate that specifically.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) sun catcher
This is a 7"
plastic sun catcher showing Bert parachuting past a billowy white cloud.
His parachute is orange, yellow, and red in color, matching his sweater
(orange), harness (yellow), pants (red), and shoes (yellow and red). This
item is in mint, unused condition and still remains sealed inside of its
original clear-plastic blisterpack and still mounted on its original cardboard
mounting card. The mounting card has one small surface tear in the upper
right-hand corner, where Bert's previous owner carelessly removed his price
tag. This item was manufactured by Vanderbilt Products Inc. and originally
was sold along with Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and Ernie counterparts (all of
which are shown on the back of the mounting card). Although undated, this
item probably was manufactured sometime during the 1980s.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) PVC figure -- surfboard
This PVC figure of
surfer Bert stands nearly 3" tall. It shows our hero wearing a 1920s
style red-and-blue striped bathing suit and holding onto a red surfboard with a
blue stripe and a yellow star. This figure was manufactured by Applause
and it probably dates to the 1980s or 1990s. It is undamaged and has a few
small marks on it, leaving Bert in near mint condition.

This is a 3"
composition Christmas ornament showing Bert as a caroler. He holds a black
and yellow lantern in his right hand, and a white song book in his left
hand. He wears a floppy orange cap, a green jacket with white trim, white
pants, and orange snow boots. This item retains its original gold lame
hanging cord. It probably was manufactured by Gorham and was made in 1981
as part of a set of Sesame Street / Muppets character ornaments. Bert is
in NM+ condition.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) talking doll
This is a 12"
stuffed cloth doll of Bert, who wears his usual red, yellow, and green striped
shirt with the white trim, lime green pants, and brown shoes. He stands
with both arms extended sideways from his body. Behind him, there is a
pull string that, when pulled, enables Bert to say such phrases as Listen to
my friends and You're my best buddy, among others. The talking
mechanism sounds nothing like Bert, but it works just fine and can be understood
easily. The doll is in NM- to NM condition, with a few small spots of
minor surface soiling being its only flaws. Bert was manufactured by
Knickerbocker sometime during the 1980s.

This is a
2.75" PVC figure showing Bert raising three fingers on his right hand while
holding a red numeral 3 in front of his chest with his left hand. This
figure is in NM+ condition. It was manufactured by Applause sometime
during the later 1980s or 1990s.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) stuffed doll
This is a 13"
stuffed cloth doll of Bert. He has fuzzy black polyester hair and a black
plush unibrow, along with yellow felt ears. Bert wears lime green pants,
brown shoes, a white shirt, and a green, yellow, and orange striped
sweater. He was manufactured by Knickerbocker and probably dates to the
1980s. Bert retains his original manufacturer's label, which is sewn into
his back. It is completely worn and impossible to read, though, which is rather
surprising, considering that Bert himself is in nearly perfect condition, with
no damage and no conspicuous signs of wear.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) cake topper
This is a 2.5"
plastic cake topper showing Bert standing on a white round base. He wears
a green-and-white birthday party hat on his head, lime green pants, white shoes
with black stripes on them, a white dickie, and a yellow-and-orange
sweater. This item was manufactured by Wilton as part of a larger set of
Sesame Street character cake toppers. Although undated, Bert probably was
manufactured sometime during the 1980s. He is in mint condition.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) bank
This is a 13"
hard vinyl bank of Bert, who is shown with an enlarged head and a rather stout
body. He has a thick black unibrow that is almost as tall as his
hair! Bert wears a yellow shirt with a white collar and scarlet and white
stripes, along with black shoes. The bank's coin slot is located on top of
Bert's head and the original generic plastic stopper is no longer present.
Bert was manufactured in 1971 by New York Vinyl Products Corp. He is free
of damage and has very little paint loss, but he does have a number of small
marks on him. These marks were resistant to a gentle attempt at cleaning
but probably would come off with a more thorough scouring job. We didn't
want to try this, though, for fear of damaging Bert's paint. Overall, he
is in EX+ condition--quite nice, particularly for an early-era and generally
difficult-to-find Sesame Street collectible item!

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) parachute cloth doll
This is a
14.5" parachute cloth doll of Bert, who is extremely lightweight and quite
loosely filled. He wears a green, blue, and orange vertically-striped
shirt, and stands with both arms extended sideways from his body. This
doll has an Ernie counterpart, and was manufactured by Playskool in 1990.
Bert retains his original manufacturer's label and he is in mint condition.

This is a 3.5"
vinyl finger puppet showing Bert from the chest upward, with both arms folded in
front of him. One light blue bird rests on his right wrist and another
sits on his right shoulder. The item is in NM+ condition. It was
manufactured by Tara Toy and probably dates to the 1990s.

This 1980s or 1990s
PVC figure of Bert stands 3" tall. It shows him dressed as a

red-and-green striped sweater, white shirt, red bowtie, dark green pants, and
black shoes with white spats. Behind his back, Bert holds a white
cane. This item's copyright information does not indicate who made
it. Bert has no damage and just a few small spots of minor paint loss,
leaving him in near mint condition overall.

This is a 4.75" plastic rolling toy showing Bert
driving a truck/plane. The plane part is blue with red pontoons on the
wings. The truck part has black tires with yellow hubcaps. When
placed on a hard, smooth surface, this toy can roll along quite easily, and the
yellow propeller can be spun manually. Bert wears a blue-and-orange
sweater with a white shirt underneath. This toy was manufactured by Illco,
probably during the 1980s or earlier 1990s. It is undamaged and has only
minor evidence of wear, leaving Bert in NM+ condition.

other designs on him are part of his fabric. This doll is in mint
condition and it retains its original manufacturer's label. Bert was made
by Knickerbocker and he probably dates to the 1970s or early 1980s.

This is a 13" flat-backed, three-dimensional
plaster wall plaque showing Bert sitting with his legs crossed at the
knee. Both of his hands rest on his sweater. This item probably
dates to the 1980s and, in all likelihood, was made as part of a home crafting
kit. We have Bert's Ernie counterpart in stock at this time as well.
Bert is undamaged and in near mint condition, with minor paint loss being his
main flaw. There is no indication on the item regarding who manufactured
it.

This is a
16.5" soft stuffed cloth doll of Bert, who has wispy black polyester
hair. His facial features are part of the material used to make him.
Bert wears his usual attire, consisting of a white dickie, a green, blue, and
orange striped sweater, green pants, and brown-and-white shoes. The doll
is in virtually perfect, seemingly unused condition, complete with its original
blue plastic hang tag and its original cardboard hang tag. Bert was
manufactured along with an Ernie counterpart in 1988 by Applause, to commemorate
the character's 20th birthday.

This is a 3.5"
bisque Christmas ornament showing Bert inside of a Christmas wreath that is
decorated with holly berries and candy canes, and a large red bow on
bottom. This item is in NM+ condition and, best of all, it comes with its
original box. The box has edge wear, but is undamaged and is completely
intact, including its original clear-plastic front window. This item was
manufactured by Newcor as part of a larger collection of Sesame Street
collectible ornaments. Although the copyright information does not
indicate the specific year that this item was made, it probably dates to the
1980s.

From the white soles of his brown shoes to the top of his
fuzzy black hair, this Bert beanbag doll is nearly 9" tall. He has
lime green pants and a blue, green, and orange striped sweater with white
edging. This item was manufactured in 1997 by Tyco Preschool as part of a
24-character beanbag doll collection. Bert is in mint condition and he
still retains his original cardboard hangtag.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) crochet doll kit
This is a 12"
crochet doll kit featuring Bert. It comes with all of its original,
unused, mint condition yarn, as well as its original instruction booklet and the
original box. The box has terrific graphics showing Bert (when he has been
made) as well as Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and Grover (which are the other dolls
in this crochet doll kit series). Bert's box is dented and the surface
paper is torn in a few places; but it is intact. All of the contents are
present and in great condition; only some of the yarn is shown in the photograph
accompanying this description. This item was manufactured by Vogart Crafts
Corp. in 1979.

This is a
3.25" vinyl finger puppet of Bert, who has black wiry polyester hair.
He wears a lime green sweater over a white ribbed shirt, and is shown with both
hands by his chest. This item's copyright information does not indicate
who made him or when he was manufactured, although our best guess is that this
piece dates to the 1970s or 1980s. Bert originally had an Ernie
counterpart who also had wiry hair. He is undamaged and shows very little
wear, and is in NM to NM+ condition overall.

It would be
difficult to imagine a Bert collectible much uglier than this one. Just
the same, this is a rare, vintage piece. It is a 16.5" hand puppet
with a felt head, felt hands, and a cloth shirt. Bert has a bulbous pompon
nose, glued-on vinyl eyes, and a black unibrow. He is in NM- condition,
with minor dinginess on the felt being his only flaw. Bert was
manufactured in 1980 by Gabriel Industries.

This is a
3.75" bisque figurine showing Bert as a train conductor who rides on a
number 6 red caboose with an orange roof and blue wheels. He wears a blue
uniform and holds a silver-and-orange lantern in his left hand. This item
is in mint condition and it comes with its original box. Bert was
manufactured in 1993 by Enesco as part of a set of Sesame Street / Muppets
character train figurines, and he was named On My Way Bert by the
manufacturer at the time of release. According to the price stickers on
this item, Bert originally cost $12.50 and then was marked down to $6.50 for
final sale.

This is a
2.25" tall by 2.75" long die-cast metal rolling toy showing Bert as
the driver of a yellow school buss filled with happy Muppet children. Bert
wears a blue hat and a blue jacket with a red collar. The bus is bright
yellow with lime green plastic wheels. This toy works well and rolls right
along when placed on any hard, smooth surface. It is undamaged and has
only minor paint loss, leaving it in near mint condition. Bert was
manufactured by Playskool in 1983.

This is a 3.5"

green pants, and white shoes with blue trim. He is in mint condition and,
best of all, comes with his original clear plastic display/storage box.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) composition figurine
This is a
6.25" composition figurine of Bert, manufactured by Gorham in 1976 as part
of a much larger collection of Sesame Street / Muppets character
figurines. (We have several of the others in stock at this time,
too.) Bert is shown wearing a white turtle-neck shirt, a yellow sweater
with orange and green stripes, green pants, and white bucks. His left arm
rests by his side and his right hand is kept behind his back. Bert is in
mint condition and comes with his original blue-and-silver foil manufacturer's
sticker. As you can see in the image on the right, we also happen to have
one of this item in mint condition with its original box. This item
retains its original corrugated cardboard protective insert too.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) Christmas ornament
This is a 4"
resin Christmas ornament showing Bert entangled in a string of blue, orange, and
red Christmas lights. He wears green pants, brown-and-white shoes, and his
usual green, blue, and orange striped sweater with the white dickie
underneath. This item was manufactured sometime during the 1990s as part
of a large collection of Sesame Street / Muppets character ornaments, and the
copyright information does not indicate who made it. Bert is in mint
condition.

BERT (Sesame Street / Muppets) PVC figure -- croquet
This is a
3.25" PVC figure showing Bert playing croquet, with a black-and-white
mallet in both hands, by his left side. Bert wears a green-and-red striped
sweater with a white turtleneck shirt, green pants, and black shoes. He
has a few very small spots of paint wear and his left ear is partly missing, as
the picture shows. The ear problem appears to be a factory error.
Overall, Bert is in EX condition. He was manufactured by Tara Toy,
probably during the 1980s. As you can see from the second image, we also
have this item available in mint condition, still sealed on its original
cardboard mounting card (with very colorful background graphics) and inside of
its original (now crinkled) clear-plastic blisterpack.
