BEVERLY HILLBILLIES Roalex slide puzzle
This is a 2.5"
square plastic slide puzzle of Jethro, Ellie Mae, Jed Clampett, and Granny from
the television series The Beverly Hillbillies. The four characters
are shown in black-and-white, with Jethro holding a hat, Ellie Mae waving, Jed
holding a shotgun, and Granny rocking in her rocking chair. This item is
in NM+ condition and it has never been removed from its original 4.75x6"
cardboard mounting card. The mounting card has nice graphics showing the
four main characters in their roadster, along with several possible and
impossible permutations of the puzzle's solution. The mounting card has
two small tears along the lower edge and a fair amount of creasing. But it
is intact and it displays nicely. The back of it, however, has numerous
pen markings on it, from where the item's previous owner kept some type of track
of his/her outcomes playing with this item. This slide puzzle was
manufactured by Roalex and it probably dates to the earlier 1960s.

BIG AL (Song of the South / Walt Disney) plush doll
This is a 19"
lightweight plush doll of Big Al, from Walt Disney's feature-length film Song
of the South. He is shown standing with his arms resting in front of
him. Big Al wears a red felt vest and a dark brown felt hillbilly hat, and
he has glued-on felt facial features. He was manufactured by California
Stuffed Toys sometime during the later 1970s or earlier 1980s, and he bears the
Walt Disney Productions copyright marking on his original manufacturer's
label. Big Al is in nearly perfect condition, other than some minor
crinkling on the felt of his hat.

BIG AL (Song of the South / Walt Disney) bank
This is a
7.75" ceramic bank of Big Al, from Walt Disney's feature-length program Song
of the South. It is entirely brown in color, other than the whites and
pupils of Big Al's eyes. He is shown sitting beside a jug of moonshine
while he plays his guitar. The bank's coin slot is located on top of his
hat, and the original stopper is no longer present. This item is in NM+
condition, with a single tiny fleabite on the corner of the coin slot being the
item's only flaw. It bears the Walt Disney Productions copyright marking
and probably dates to the 1960s or 1970s. There is no indication anywhere
on the item as to who made it.

BIG AL (Song of the South / Walt Disney) plush/vinyl doll
This is a 19"
shaggy plush doll of Big Al, who has grey fur with white and pale grey plush
accents. He wears a peach-colored felt vest and a brown felt hillbilly
hat. Big Al has a vinyl face. This doll is in EX+ condition, with
minor paint loss on Big Al's nose and a few small moth holes in the felt of his
hat and vest. He was manufactured by California Stuffed Toys sometime
during the later 1970s or earlier 1980s. He bears the Walt Disney
Productions copyright marking on his original manufacturer's label.

BIG BAD WOLF (Three Little Pigs / Walt Disney) silver bell
This is a
2.75" silver bell showing the Big Bad Wolf evilly, but happily, marching
along as if he is about to pounce upon one of the Three Little Pigs. This
item was manufactured by the New England Collector's Society during the 1980s as
part of a large collection of Walt Disney character commemorative bells.
Other than having some tarnishing of the silver, this item is in perfect
condition.

BIG BIRD (Sesame Street / Muppets) plush doll -- curved beak
This 11" plush
Big Bird doll with a beanbag type of filling in the lower torso shows our hero
with a downwardly-curved beak. He has yellow felt fingers and plastic
ping-pong ball eyes with purple eyelids. This doll was manufactured by
Knickerbocker either during the later 1970s or earlier 1980s. It retains
its original manufacturer's label, which is in very nice condition and sewn
securely into Big Bird's left hip. The doll is 100% free of damage and it
has just minor surface soiling, resulting from having been played with and loved
by its previous owner. Overall, this tough-to-find item is in near mint
condition.

BIG BIRD (Sesame Street / Muppets) squeak toy -- sitting with book
This is a
5.25" vinyl squeak toy showing Big Bird sitting with his legs extended in
front of him as he reads a blue ABC book with yellow pages. When
squeezed, this item gives off a gentle squeaking sound. It is in NM+
condition and was manufactured in 1992 by Playskool Baby Inc.

BIG BIRD (Sesame Street / Muppets) AM/FM radio
This is an AM/FM radio of Big
Bird, standing 8" tall and measuring 6.75" wide. The Big Bird
figure is made of vinyl and shows him leaning against an old-fashioned brown
"wooden" radio cabinet, with his legs crossed and left hand resting on
his stomach feathers. The plastic base is shaped like an oval and is blue
in color. The front white dials control the station (left) and volume and
power (right). When the battery is placed inside, this radio works just
fine. Big Bird was manufactured sometime during the 1970s, but there is no
indication of who made him anywhere on him. This item is free of
damage. Paint wear and marks are very minimal, and there is a tiny spot of
wear on the "B" in the "Big" decal. Overall, this is a
near mint condition, working radio.

BIG BIRD (Sesame Street / Muppets) lamp
This is
a 19.5" vinyl lamp showing Big Bird sitting inside of his bird's nest,
reading a blue book, which he holds in his lap. He is perched beneath a
large green lamppost with a white globe encompassing the light. This item
is run by electricity and it has a three-way light inside of it. It works
perfectly and is in no worse than near mint condition. There is no
indication anywhere on the item as to who made it or when it was manufactured,
although our best guess is that this is a 1980s piece.

BIG BIRD (Sesame Street / Muppets) finger puppet -- mailman
This is a
3.25" vinyl finger puppet of Big Bird, who is shown here as a
mailman. He wears a blue hat with a black brim, a white shirt, a red
necktie, and a blue jacket, and is shown holding three letters in front of his
chest. This item was manufactured by Applause sometime during the later
1980s or 1990s. It is undamaged but does have a few very small marks on it
(visible in the photograph accompanying this description), leaving Big Bird in
near mint condition.

This is a
3.75" solid resin Christmas ornament showing Big Bird as a Christmas

green musical note on it in both hands. The ornament is in NM+
condition. This item was manufactured in 1993, but the copyright
information does not indicate who made it.

This is a
3.75" PVC figure showing Big Bird as a lifeguard. He holds a blue
whistle in his raised right hand/wing and wears a red tank top with a white sash
across it saying Lifeguard in blue lettering. This item was
manufactured by Applause, probably during the later 1980s or earlier
1990s. It is undamaged and has just a few tiny specks of paint wear,
leaving it in NM+ condition.

This is a 10"
plush doll of Big Bird, who is shown wearing a light blue shirt with his name
written on it in orange lettering. He has bulbous plastic eyes with pink
eyelids, yellow felt fingers, and pink stripes on his orange legs. Big
Bird was manufactured by Hasbro, probably during the 1980s. He retains his
original manufacturer's label, which is in very nice condition and sewn securely
into Big Bird's left hip. This doll is in NM+ condition.

This is a
3.75" plastic snowdome showing Big Bird dressed as Santa Claus, lugging a
green toy sack in his left hand. The way the water is positioned inside of
the snowdome, it almost makes Big Bird look as if he is trying to avoid
drowning! This item is in NM+ condition. It was manufactured by Kurt
Adler. Although undated, Big Bird probably dates to the later 1990s or
early 2000s.

This is a
3.25" PVC figure showing Big Bird standing with both arms/wings raised in
the air. The copyright information underneath his feet does not indicate
who made this Big Bird figure or when it was manufactured, although it probably
dates to the 1980s or 1990s. With no damage and virtually no paint loss,
this figure is in NM+ condition.

BIG BIRD (Sesame Street / Muppets) rolling toy -- drum and tuba
This is a 2.5"
die-cast metal rolling toy of Big Bird, whose red convertible car has white
plastic wheels. Big Bird is wrapped inside of a large silver tuba and
behind him there is a blue-and-white drum with yellow drumsticks. When
placed on a hard, smooth surface, this item scoots right along just fine.
Big Bird was manufactured by Playskool in 1987 as part of a larger Sesame Street
character die-cast car set. He is undamaged but does have some paint wear
on the car's fenders, hood decal, and horn, and on the tuba. Overall, this
item is in EX+ condition.

BIG BIRD (Sesame Street / Muppets) PVC figure -- with guitar
This is a 3.5"
PVC figure of Big Bird, who is shown holding a red guitar with white
strings. This item is in mint, unused condition and is still sealed inside
of its original clear-plastic blisterpack and still mounted on its original
cardboard mounting card. The litho on the mounting card is designed to
resemble a theatre stage, to give the impression that Big Bird is performing on
that stage. This item was manufactured in 1985 by Tara Toy. There is
some crinkling on the blisterpack, but that is this item's only flaw.

This is a
6.25" ceramic bank showing Big Bird sitting inside of his bird's nest,
holding a pink piggy bank on his left side. The back of the piggy is the
coin slot for this bank, and the original generic black rubber stopper is no
longer present with the item. The copyright information does not indicate
who made this item or when it was manufactured, but in all likelihood, this is a
1990s piece. It is undamaged and in near mint condition, with its only
flaw being minor paint loss on the underside of the bank, where it connects with
the tabletop or shelf on which it is placed.

This is a
3.25" PVC figure showing Big Bird waving with his raised left hand.
He is dressed as a cowboy, complete with a brown cowboy hat, a matching vest,
and a red neckerchief. This item is in near mint condition, with very
slight paint wear and a small red spot on Big Bird's tail feathers. The
copyright information does not indicate who made this item or when it was
manufactured, although our best guess is that this is a 1980s or a 1990s piece.

Ahoy, Mr. Looper, I
mean, Hooper! This is a 4.5" ceramic napkin holder (or letter holder)
showing Big Bird as a sailor. He wears a blue sailor's outfit with a red
neckerchief and is shown against a backdrop of two grey anchors as he waves his
small red flag in his left hand. This item was manufactured by Applause,
probably during the 1990s. It retains its original paper copyright sticker
on the underside of the base and is in mint, seemingly unused condition.

This
is a 4.5" bisque figurine of Big Bird, who is shown dressed as a policeman. He

it, a light blue shirt, and a black necktie. His left hand is raised and he holds a
silver whistle in his raised right hand. This figurine is in mint condition.
The copyright information on Big Bird's feet does not indicate who made this item or when
it was manufactured, but it probably is a 1980s or 1990s piece. We have one of its

and behind his legs. This item is in mint condition and is still sealed
inside of its original packaging. It was manufactured by Kurt S Adler in
1998 as part of a larger collection of Muppets / Sesame Street character
Christmas ornaments. We have a few of the others in this set in stock at

This is an

striped legs, and a curly tail behind him. This doll was manufactured by
Applause in 1993. Big Bird retains his original manufacturer's label,
which shows some signs of fraying along the edges but which is still entirely
legible and sewn securely into his left hip. This doll is undamaged and
has minor surface soiling from being played with over the years, as well as one
small spot of paint loss on the top of Big Bird's left eyeball. Overall,
it is in no worse than near mint condition.

This is a 16"
aluminum cake pan showing Big Bird sitting with his legs extended in front of
him as he opens a gift box. The item was manufactured in 1978 by Wilton
along with other Sesame Street / Muppets character cake pans. Big Bird is
undamaged and in near mint condition, with some minor surface marks from having
been moved about over the years.

BIG BIRD (Sesame Street / Muppets) jack-in-the-box
This is a 10"
plastic jack-in-the-box showing Big Bird playing a blue guitar. The sides
of the box have paper appliqué decals that show Bert playing a fiddle, Ernie in
a straw hat holding a microphone, Big Bird playing a banjo, Oscar the Grouch
playing a flute, Grover playing a bass, and the Cookie Monster playing the
cookie jar jug. When the lid is closed and blue crank is wound, the
jack-in-the-box plays the song Pop Goes the Weasel. The music works
properly and Big Bird pops up at the proper time in the song. This item
was manufactured by Hasbro for Playskool in 1986. It has some minor wear
on the decal, but no damage of any kind anywhere on it. Overall, this toy
is in NM- condition and it works just fine.

This is a
5.25" vinyl squeak toy showing Big Bird sitting with his orange feet in
front of him and his wings/hands resting in different places on his belly.
When squeezed, Big Bird gives off a gentle squeaking sound. He has just a few tiny specks of paint
loss. There is one small area on the tip of Big Bird's beak that appears
like a manufacturer's mold flaw. With that flaw, this item is in EX
condition. He was manufactured by Playskool Baby, probably during the
1980s or earlier 1990s.

to have been used and is in NM+ condition. It was manufactured by Wilton
and it probably dates to the 1980s or 1990s.

This is a

condition. It was sold along with Bert/Ernie and Cookie Monster/Oscar the
Grouch counterparts by Carlton Cards in 2004 to celebrate the 35th anniversary

in mint condition.

This fun item is a
9" tall by 11.25" long plastic musical showing Big Bird sitting beside
a green "television" screen watching the tube. The white knob
beside him can be turned, and that winds up the musical. When this is
done, the television picture advances from left to right, revealing more of the
Sesame Street neighborhood scene while the musical plays In Your Neighborhood.
The music plays well and the picture/scene does advance, although the picture's
advancing motion works only sporadically. Overall, this item is in EX+
condition. It was manufactured by Illco sometime during the 1980s.

amazement with his beak open. This item is in perfect working condition
and retains the original yellow vinyl carrying strap and the original cover for
the battery component. Other than some minor use-related wear, this item
is in perfect condition--near mint at worst. It was manufactured during
the 1970s in all likelihood (the copyright information does not specify this),
and the maker is not marked on the item.

This colorful item
is a 7" bisque nightlight showing Big Bird sitting and reading from a red
storybook while a bird with a blue nightcap rests on his left shoulder.
Big Bird also has a blue nightcap on his head, and he cradles a teddy bear in
his right hand. This item is in virtually perfect condition and it works
just fine. It comes with its original box, which has some shelf wear, but
overall is intact and in nice condition. Big Bird was manufactured by
Enesco in 1993.

This is a 7"
plastic wind-up toy showing Big Bird driving a blue tricycle with green wheels

on a hard, smooth surface, his tail bobs up and down and the tricycle rolls
right along. This toy was manufactured by Illco sometime during the
1980s. It is in near mint condition and is free of damage.

This is a
3.25" resin Christmas ornament showing Big Bird sitting with his feet
extended in front of him. He wears a Santa Claus hat and is shown holding
a small Christmas tree with a yellow star on it. This item is in mint
condition. It was manufactured sometime within the past few years,
probably by Kurt Adler, although the copyright information does not indicate
that specifically.

This
colorful Big Bird is made of solid rubber and stands 6.25" tall. While Big
Bird's arms are fixed in place, his orange legs with the raspberry-colored rings on them
are pliable and movable. Big Bird has no damage anywhere on him and only has a few
small spots of minor paint loss, primarily on his toes. He was manufactured by
Applause. His year of production is not marked anywhere on him, although in all
likelihood, he dates to the 1980s. Big Bird is in NM- to NM condition.

BIG BIRD (Sesame Street / Muppets) talking shaggy doll
This is a 22"
shaggy plush doll of Big Bird, who has plastic ping-pong ball-style eyes, a
vinyl beak, yellow yarn hair, and yellow felt hands. In back, he has a
pull string that enables him to talk. When it is pulled, Big Bird says
things like I love you very much and I live on Sesame Street,
among others. The talking mechanism works just fine. Big Bird was
manufactured by Child Guidance in 1984. He is in near mint condition, with
one small surface stain on one of his hands and some minor matting of the shaggy
plush being his main flaws.

This is a

complete Sesame Street / Muppets character numerals set.

This is a
3.25" ceramic Christmas ornament showing Big Bird sitting in a red
sled. He holds a red strap to steer the sled and has both legs extended
out in front of him. He wears a red, white, and green scarf around his
neck as well. This item is in NM+ condition and, best of all, comes with
its original clear plastic display/storage box. It was manufactured

BIG BIRD (Sesame Street / Muppets) fireman doll
This is a
12.5" plush doll of Big Bird, who is shown with both arms/wings raised in
the air. He wears a red vinyl fireman's hat with a blue shield and a white
numeral 1 on it. This doll was manufactured by Knickerbocker and, although
undated, it probably was manufactured sometime during the 1970s or 1980s.
Big Bird retains his original manufacturer's label, which is attached to his
rear end. The doll is in no worse than near mint condition, with minor
evidence of play-related wear being its only flaw.

BIG BIRD (Sesame Street / Muppets) PVC figure -- with logs
This is a 4"
PVC figure of Big Bird, who is shown as a scout master. He wears a red
neckerchief and a putty-grey camper's hat. In his arms, he holds 3
logs. This item was manufactured by Applause and it probably dates to the
1980s or 1990s. It is in mint condition.

BIG BIRD (Sesame Street / Muppets) bisque musical
This is a
7.25" bisque musical showing Big Bird standing on a white mound that is
adorned with two red stripes and a perimeter of yellow flowers. He waves
with his right hand and holds a red umbrella in his left hand. When the
metal disk underneath the base is wound, the musical revolves and plays Sunny
Day, the theme song to Sesame Street. The rotation and musical
mechanisms both work just fine on this item, which is in virtually perfect
condition. There is no indication anywhere on the item as to who made it
or when it was manufactured, but this is probably a 1990s piece.

BIG BIRD (Sesame Street / Muppets) toothbrush cup
This is a
3.25" bisque toothbrush cup showing Big Bird sitting down and comparing
blue eggs (or bars of soap) with a yellow bird that rests on the tips of his
right foot's toes. The cup is in virtually perfect condition, and the
images of Big Bird and his pal are provided in raised-relief. This item's
copyright information does not indicate who made it or when it was manufactured,
although our best guess is that this is a later 1980s or earlier 1990s
piece.

BIG BIRD (Sesame Street / Muppets) planter
This unusual
item is a ceramic planter of farmer Big Bird, driving his blue, red, and aqua tractor . .
. just the way you always imagine him, huh?! The planter is 5.5" tall, 6"
long, and 3" wide. The copyright information does not indicate who made this
item or when it was manufactured. It is probably a 1980s item. The planter has
no damage anywhere on it and just a few tiny specks of minor paint loss. It is in
NM+ condition and appears never to have been used before.
