STUART LITTLE doll

  This is a 10.5" plush doll of Stuart Little, who wears a white satiny jacket, a white shirt, a black bowtie, black pants, and white-and-red sneakers.  This doll is all original and 100% complete, including Stuart Little's tail.  It is in near mint condition, with minor surface discoloration on the jacket being the item's only flaw.  It was manufactured in 2000 by Learning Curve International.

STUART LITTLE Dancing Stuart doll

  This uncommon find is a 12" plush doll of Stuart Little, the mouse originally voiced by Michael J. Fox.  He wears a white tuxedo jacket, a white shirt, a black bowtie, black pants, and red sneakers with white soles and laces.  He is shown holding a large red comb, standing atop a suitcase.  The doll has never been used or removed from its original box, and is in nearly perfect condition.  Unfortunately, the internal batteries (three AA batteries) that operate Stuart Little's dancing, talking, and air guitar functions need to be replaced to make him operational again.  Since he has never been used before, he should work perfectly once new batteries are added.  The display box is intact and undamaged, but it does have edge and back wear.  This item was manufactured by Hasbro in  1999.

SUGAR BEAR (advertising) Christmas ornament

  This is a Christmas ornament of Golden Crisp cereal's spokesbear, Sugar Bear.  The item is nearly 3" tall, made of PVC, and in near mint condition.  It shows Sugar Bear dressed as Santa Claus, holding a green sack full of yellow gifts as he stands on a green snowboard on a white snow pile.  This item was manufactured in 1993.

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) soaky -- Avon

  Although a "loose" and assembled Superman soaky is shown in the picture, this item is actually in mint condition, with parts of it still contained in their original, sealed plastic protective bag.  This is the 1978 Superman soaky that Avon manufactured, complete with the original cloth cape, which is not pictured since that is one of the pieces that has never been removed from the bag.  Superman is shown with his arms crossed, legs spread apart, straddling several grey skyscrapers.  He comes with his original box, which is in great shape, too, complete with all of its beautiful, colorful graphics.  (The loose Superman soaky shown is also available for purchase, minus the box, for $41.)

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) vinyl figure

  This is a 15.5" jointed vinyl figure of Superman, who has movable arms.  He wears a red cloth cape; the rest of him is made of the molded vinyl.  This item was manufactured in 1988, probably by Presents / Hamilton Gifts, as part of a set of superhero figures that also included Wonder Woman, Batman, Robin, and the Joker.  It is undamaged and in near mint condition overall, with a few small surface marks and some minor paint loss on the back of Superman's hair being the item's only flaws--minor ones at that.

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) flowerpot

   This is a 3" ceramic flowerpot showing Superman flying in mid-air while saying Super Plants with his bubble caption.  The reverse side of the flowerpot shows his name in red-and-blue lettering, in three-dimensional text.  This item was manufactured in 1978 along with Wonder Woman and Shazam counterparts and it is in virtually perfect condition.

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) cake decorations

  This is a mint, unused set of plastic Superman cake decorations, showing Superman in a flying pose.  He is white with red trim, as are the five buildings that are included as part of this set.  This item was manufactured by Wilton in 1979.  The cake decorations come sealed in their original box, from which they have never been removed.

SUPERMAN (superhero / DC Comics) cup/mug

  This is a 4.25" plastic cup / mug showing two images of Superman. One of them shows a drawn version of him flying in the air beneath his three-dimensional name. The other shows a photograph of Christopher Reeve as Superman, in front of Metropolis. This item has minor surface wear, leaving it in near mint condition. It was manufactured in 1978 by Dawn.

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) ceramic musical

  In 1978, Price manufactured a set of superhero and villain ceramic musicals.  Included in this set were Shazam (which we also have in stock at this time), Batman, Robin, Catwoman, Joker, Penguin, Riddler, and among others, this one of Superman.  This item is 8" tall and features Superman standing with his legs apart, hands behind his back, atop a white base that is decorated with a blue side that has red and yellow dots on it.   When the plastic circular bottom is wound up, the musical turns and plays "Jesus Christ Superstar" quite clearly.  (Well, don't YOU always associate Superman with Jesus Christ Superstar?!)  The ceramic is completely free of damage.  The original manufacturer's sticker is intact on the underside of the musical, and the copyright sticker is intact on the rear side of the musical's base.   Superman has two spots of paint missing, one from each thigh.  Otherwise, he is free of wear.  The "Superman" logo sticker on the front of the musical is complete and undamaged, showing only minor wear from being handled over the years.   Overall, this item is in EX+ to NM- condition.

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) wristwatch

  This is a 6" plastic/vinyl wristwatch showing Superman with both arms resting by his sides, in a mid-air soaring pose.  The watch has a blue band.  It is in mint, unused condition and has never been removed from its original packaging.  As the photograph accompanying this description shows, the upper right-hand corner of the plastic package has been torn off (as have much smaller pieces along the lower edge), but the graphics inside of it are entirely intact.  They show Superman flying above Metropolis.  The watch was manufactured in 1991 by Hope Industries.

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) Mego bank

  This uncommon find is an 8" plastic bank showing Superman from the belly upward, with his arms folded on his chest.  The bank's coin slot is located on the back of Superman's head and the original stopper is present underneath the base.  This item was manufactured by Mego in 1974 along with Penguin, Joker, and Batman counterparts.  Superman has minor paint loss on the front of his hair, on his face, and along the lower edge of the bank.  His S decal also has some surface wear on the left side.  Overall, this item is in EX+ condition.

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) collector's glass

  This is a 6.25" Brockway style (i.e., thick) collector's glass of Superman, who is shown standing with his cape blowing in the breeze behind him, arms outstretched and angled downward from his sides.  Superman appears against a yellow circular backdrop, and the image is repeated on the back of the glass.  There is a black Pepsi logo between the two images of Superman.  This item was manufactured in 1976 as part of the Pepsi Super Series of collector's glasses.  The glass is in mint condition and retains all of its original glossiness.

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) soaky

  This is a 10" soaky of Superman, who has a plastic head and a vinyl body.  He has a flesh-colored face, black hair, a blue body, and dark red boots, undies, and S emblem on his chest.  This item was manufactured by Colgate-Palmolive in 1965 as part of a large collection of cartoon character shampoo bottles released around that time.  Superman has no damage and his paint loss is very minimal, leaving him in NM to NM+ condition.  This particular soaky is probably the cleanest example we have ever run across of the Superman soaky.

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) hard vinyl figure

  This is a 4" hard vinyl (almost PVC-like) figure of Superman, who is shown in a "dare you to fight" pose.  He is wearing his usual bright blue tights with bright red cape, underwear, boots, and chest patch.  This item was probably manufactured during the 1960s.  Overall, it is in EX+ condition, with some small spots of paint wear on Superman's underwear and hair.

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) Magic Catch game

  This is an 8" Superman Magic Catch game.  It consists of a two-sided hand puppet, one of which shows Superman and the other of which shows Clark Kent.  The game is supposed to come with a soft Velcro ball, but that slipped out of the torn cellophane window on the front of the box somewhere over the years . . . a true shame considering that the item itself has never been removed from its original box.  The item itself is in mint condition.  The box has colorful graphics showing both sides of the puppet (front), Clark Kent in a phone booth (left), Superman in a phone booth (right), and a boy and a girl playing with their own Magic Catch game (back).  The box has corner and edge wear and some tearing along the seams, but is entirely intact.  The cellophane window is completely present but there is a tear in the upper left-hand corner, and that is where the Velcro ball was able to escape Superman's grip years ago.  This item was manufactured by Synergistics Research Corp. in 1979.

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) cake pan

  This is a 14" aluminum cake pan featuring Superman, who is shown from the waist up, with his muscles bulging as he holds his arms bent akimbo on the hips while his cape flows behind him.  This item is in NM+, unused condition.  It comes with its original cardboard insert, which shows Batman and Superman cakes having been prepared using their respective cake pans.  This item also comes with its original plastic Superman face and "S" emblem.  The cake pan was manufactured by Wilton in 1981.  There is wear and some surface tearing (near the Batman and Superman images) on parts of the insert, and a few large pieces of tape holding things together (put there by the item's previous owner).

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) junior squeak toy

  In 1978, a set of four superhero "junior" vinyl squeak toys was manufactured, including Wonder Woman, Batman, Robin, and this one of Superman.  (All four are in stock at this time.)  This item is 7.25" tall and features a child-like Superman waving and wearing his traditional blue tights with the red trim and yellow utility belt.   When squeezed, this item gives off a gentle squeaking sound.  It is in NM- condition, with minor paint wear on the edges of his shoes and a spot of paint missing on his yellow utility belt.

SUPERMAN & BATMAN (DC Comics / superhero) rompecabezas

  This is a mint condition, still sealed in its original box Superman / Batman rompecabezas.   The box is 7.75" wide and 11.25" tall.  It features attractive graphics on the cover lid of Superman with muscles bulging as he stands amidst the stars and comets of the galaxy while a spaceship flies by and his parents wave farewell to him.   This item was manufactured by Borras in 1979.  There is some minor edge wear to the bottom seam of the box, where a part of the cellophane shrink wrap has come off.   Otherwise, this item is in perfect, sealed, unused condition.

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) tumbler

  This is a nearly-6" plastic tumbler showing two images of Superman.  One of them is a drawn version, showing him breaking through a lavender chain with his chest muscles and arm power.  The other shows Christopher Reeve as the movie version of Superman, flying in front of Manhattan's skyscrapers.  This item was manufactured in 1978 by Dawn.  It is in nearly perfect condition.

SUPERMAN (DC Comics / superhero) movie viewer

  This rare find is a 2x3" red-and-black plastic Superman movie viewer along with two movies (one in a yellow cardboard box, the other in a blue cardboard box).  The toy is in mint, unused condition and it remains sealed inside of its original clear plastic blisterpack and mounted on its original cardboard mounting card.  The mounting card has colorful graphics on front, showing Superman punching his way through a brick wall.  The back of the mounting card has illustrations explaining how to use this item.  The mounting card has edge wear and a central crease, along with an area in the upper right-hand corner where the item's previous owner tore off the original price sticker.  Superman was manufactured by Chemtoy in 1965.

SWEDISH CHEF (Muppets) spoon holder

  Now here's a funky kitchen addition for you Muppets lovers out there:  a 11.5" ceramic spoon holder featuring the Swedish Chef.  He holds a basket of red carrots, and on either side of those, there are holes for holding cooking utensils such as wooden spoons.  This colorful item is undamaged and in no worse than near mint condition.  It was manufactured by Himark sometime during the 1980s.

SWEDISH CHEF (Muppets) salt and pepper set

  This rare find is a ceramic salt and pepper set (5.25" and 3.25", respectively) featuring Swedish Chef and a pepper mill.  He holds a finger beneath his nose, as if to prevent a sneeze, with the salt shaker.  This set is in mint condition and both pieces retain their original stoppers.  The pepper shaker retains its original manufacturer's sticker.  This tough-to-find Swedish Chef set was manufactured by Sigma the Tastesetter sometime during the earlier 1980s as part of a larger set of Muppets character items.

SWEDISH CHEF (Muppets) jointed figure

  This cute, uncommon find is a 4.5" jointed PVC figure of the Swedish Chef, who has a swiveling head and arms that move up and down.  He wears a white chef's hat, a blue shirt, a pink bowtie, a white apron, grey pants, and brown shoes.  He is shown holding a Swedish flag with six meatballs on it.  This item is in NM+ condition.  It was distributed by Jack in the Box fast food restaurants sometime during the 1990s.

SWEE PEA (Popeye / Fleischer / King Features) cloth/vinyl doll -- large size

  In 1985, Presents / Hamilton Gifts released two sets of Popeye and friends cloth dolls with vinyl heads, hands, and feet/shoes.  The two sets were identical other than in size.  This 18" Swee Pea doll is from the larger of the two sets.  It shows Swee Pee wearing long, bright red, pointy pajamas with white trim and a white sailor's hat with a black band.  The doll is in virtually perfect condition and it retains its original manufacturer's hang tag (affixed to Swee Pea's armpit) and its original manufacturer's label (sewn securely into the side of the pajamas).

SWEE PEA (Popeye / Fleischer / King Features) vinyl figure

  This is a 2.75" hard vinyl figure showing Swee Pea sitting on top of a yellow alphabet block.  He holds a large baby bottle of spinach in his lap and is shown lovingly holding it with his eyes closed.  This item was manufactured in 1986 but the copyright information does not indicate who made it.  Swee Pea is free of damage and has just one or two small marks on him, leaving this item in near mint condition overall.

SWEE PEA (Popeye / Fleischer / King Features) boxed hand puppet

  Now here is a pretty amazing find for you:  It is a mint condition hand puppet of Swee Pea, which has never been removed from its original box.  The box has terrific, fun 1950s-style graphics on it showing a little boy (and on back, a little girl) playing with his (and then her) very own hand puppet.  This item is described as a hand puppet with a voice! meaning that it has a squeaking mechanism inside of the head.  It was manufactured by Gund sometime during the 1950s.  As vintage Popeye character items go, they don't come any nicer than this one!!

  This is a 10.25" cloth doll of Swee Pea, who has a vinyl head.  He is shown wearing a white sailor's cap bearing his name in red lettering and long, pointy red pajamas with white trim.  The doll is in mint condition and retains its original manufacturer's label and its original cardboard hang tag.  Swee Pea was manufactured by Presents / Hamilton Gifts in 1985.  At that time, the company made two sets of Popeye and friends dolls, each containing the same characters appearing pretty much the same, but differing in size.  This Swee Pea doll is from the smaller of the two sets.

  This is a 6.75" ceramic bank showing Swee Pea sweetly sitting with his hands in his lap.  He wears a white sailor's cap with a black brim and pointy yellow pajamas with lacy white cuffs and collar.  The bank's coin slot is located on the top of Swee Pea's hat and the original generic black rubber stopper is missing from the bottom of the bank.  This item is in virtually perfect condition.  It was manufactured by Vandor in 1980 as part of a larger collection of Popeye and friends figures, banks, and decorative items.

  This colorful item is a 4.25" resin Christmas ornament showing Swee Pea hugging a huge candy cane that is decorated with a sprig of holly.  Swee Pea wears yellow pajamas and a white sailor's hat.  This item is in virtually perfect condition and it comes with its original box.  Swee Pea was manufactured in 1981 as part of a larger set of Popeye and friends Christmas ornaments.  Surprisingly, the copyright information and box provide no indication as to who made this item.

  This is a 4.5x9.5" cloth doll of Swee Pea, who has a vinyl head.  He is shown wearing red pajamas with white lacy cuff trim, and a white sailor's hat with a black brim.  The doll is in mint condition and seems never to have been removed from its original box. The box has considerable fading and some holes in the cellophane window, but is intact and in VG- condition.  It has colorful graphics showing Swee Pea sitting on a rock with a flower, Swee Pea loping along, Popeye carrying Swee Pea, among others.  The doll was manufactured in 1979 by Uneeda Doll Company, along with several other characters from the Popeye cartoons.

SWEET POLLY PUREBRED (Underdog / Leonardo / Total Television) glass -- smaller size

  This is a 5.25" collector's glass showing reporter Sweet Polly Purebred from the Underdog cartoons. She wears a black blazer, a white blouse, a red skirt, and red high-heeled shoes.  The glass has black lettering and a white Pepsi logo between the two images of Sweet Polly.  It is in NM+ condition.  The glass was distributed as part of a mid-1970s set of character glasses in fast food restaurants that used Pepsi products.

  This is a 6.25" Brockway-style (i.e., thick) collector's glass featuring Sweet Polly Purebred.  She waves with her left hand and is shown wearing a white blouse, a black jacket, a red skirt, and red high-heeled shoes.  The glass has black lettering and a white Pepsi logo separating the two images of Sweet Polly.  It was manufactured sometime during the 1970s as part of a series of Underdog and friends (and enemies) glasses.  This glass retains all of its original glossiness and is in nearly perfect condition.

SWEETY BIRD (Tiny Toons Adventures / Warner Brothers) PVC figure

  This is a 3.25" PVC figure showing Sweety Bird (Tiny Toons' answer to Tweety) "hiding" a huge brown wooden club behind her back.  She wears a pastel blue bow in her hair and has a smug grin on her face.  This item is in virtually perfect condition.  It was manufactured by Applause in 1991 as part of a larger set of Tiny Toons character PVC figures.
